Track the Reds: 2nd Half

Featured Replies

The more i have thought about this Cantu trade, the more I do not understand it. The Reds have now Conine, Hatteburg, Phillips, Lopez (when he comes back), Gonvo (when he comes back), Encarnacion, Cantu, with Votto in the minors ready to come up. Hatteburg and Conine will most likely be traded, but that does not leave room for Cantu if Votto is the first baseman. I had heard that Kriv asked for a 2nd baseman from the Angels in the Dunn proposal, why? We already have Phillips, unless he planned on trading Dunn and Gonzo, move Phillips to short, and put Cantu at 2nd, Votto at 1st, and Hopper and Freel spliting time in the outfield alongside with Griffey and Hamilton. That still leaves Keppinger on the bench, and he is doing great right now.

Krivskey should trade Dunn, Conine, and Hatteburg for 1 or 2 good young releivers and a good prospect. Bring up Votto and Cantu and start Cantu against lefties and Votto against righties, and in the offseason address the issue of TOO MANY INFIELDERS.

You know you don't have to beat around the bush, why don't you just say how you REALLY feel. :p

How many guys on this team have a 100+ RBI season before the age of 25? At this point we can only dream Votto is better than Cantu. End of story. Next... :D

CTR's blog is not working right now but everyone else's is. Hum....

2-0 Cubs after one. If the Cubs win and Milwaukee loses, that lead in the Central would be down to one half game.

If Joe West was able to move more than 5 feet, he would have been able to see that it was clearly interference. Guess that's asking too much from him though...

Belisle has a pretty good outing, too bad who he was pitching against today.

Not too bad. He has good stuff, just makes mistakes too often to the wrong people.

That is one thing that gets me, there are people that just will not say what they feel around here.:irked: ................................................................................

I've always had that problem. I'll try and work on it... :sssh:

O.K.,:thumb: I know that you are shy and do not want to hurt anyones feelings at all. I do think that we would understand though. Just try and be a little more clear and direct about what you want to say. ;)

Complete and utter lack of effort all the way around today. Very sour end to a pretty good home-stand.

Zambrano though, to give him his due, was really good today.

Ugly and boring game.

Completely useless stat, but unless I missed something today was the first time this year the Reds have been shut out.

Any news on Eddie Guardado?
