July 28, 200719 yr I don't really get the way Pete treats Dunn at the end of games. Earlier Thom was talking about this and how Dunn didn't like it either. Dunner met with Pete and Pete heard Dunn out. That night's game, Dunn came out late in the game for defensive purposes. Love it. Dunn doesn't like it, get out and take extra flyballs or groundballs and make yourself not a defensive liability.

It worked out nicely tonight. It's hard to imagine taking out the guy that is most likely to be able to end the game with one swing.
July 28, 200719 yr I wouldn't mind a long range plan of Dunn at first (tell him he is going there and be done with it as they did Jr and RF) with Hamilton, Freel/Hopper, Jr in the outfield. Jr is a short-timer. If he's here past 08, I'll be shocked.

July 28, 200719 yr Today's Post had a story on Valentin and getting beat after each of the game winning hits he had. Said Dunn is a BIG hitter. He said that is fun and soon it will be someone else's turn. After he highfived Hopper coming across the plate, Valentin sprinted to 1B to get Edwin tonight.
July 28, 200719 yr If Pete doesn't get the job after the season. Which I don't think he will. I would like to see him get a chance somewhere else. I think he might have what it takes. I like a lot of the things he does.
