Track the Reds: 2nd Half

Featured Replies

I'd say it has more to do with Wayne getting shown the door at the end of the year, and not wanting him to make moves that have a big effect on the future...

Exactly...Reading between the lines. :thumb:

Sounds more and more like the Reds will not conduct a fire sale and that maybe just some loose pieces like Lohse and Conine may be moved for prospects.

Why can't Phillips play short until Gonzo comes back?

Keppinger has been doing well....

I hope there is no major sale. I think they can compete next year when Tony comes in, along with some pitching and a great leadoff man.

And he would be a decent 2B...

He would and move BP to SS.

Brewers reliever Matt Wise took a taxi after the game Wednesday night to go to a local emergency room and visit Reds infielder Pedro Lopez. Wise hit Lopez on the side of his face with a pitch in the eighth inning of that game, fracturing his left cheekbone and causing blood to gush out of his mouth.

Lopez will not need surgery, but he was placed on the 15-day DL.

"I wanted to go see him and tell him I'm sorry," said Wise. "He doesn't speak much English, but he understood what I was saying. That was by no means intentional and I feel bad about it."

Classy move, you could really see it in his face that he felt terrible.

Yep, VERY classy move. As Bandit said, you could see how horrible he felt after he hit him.

Game pushed back to 7:45...

Considering I just saw Noah outside storing the last of the animals, I'm shocked they are playing at all.
