July 31, 200719 yr Freel cf Keppinger ss Griffey rf Phillips 2b Dunn lf Conine 1b Encarnacion 3b Ross c Livingston p Today the Reds recalled from Class AAA Louisville RHP Elizardo Ramirez (#54), reinstated from the restricted list SS Alex Gonzalez and placed on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to 7/29, IF Juan Castro (sprained right elbow).
July 31, 200719 yr That explains why he didn't make any last minute trades then if he is already fired. No need to mess things up any more than they already are.:thumb: Agreed. He is in a horrible spot, the ownership group has lost faith in him (much to his own devices by the way in not keeping them in the loop), and I'm guessing that Castellini / Williams are completely against anything that looks like a fire-sale / salary dump. They want to win next year, and they believe the core of this team can do that. Are they right? I guess we'll see.

Did you not like the way I posted that at 4:00?
July 31, 200719 yr I thought you were just unhappy with my posting style. :bunny: I added the transactions at least.
July 31, 200719 yr I truly believe that Castellini / Williams believe their 40 man is a dependable bull-pen away from the top of the Central. I'm neither supporting nor opposing, but I do feel that is their belief. They have Milton's money in the off-season to use on a solid set-up man (men), so they make go into 2008 with: Votto / Cantu Phillips Gonzo Edwin Dunn Hamilton / Freel Griffey Ross (alas, no choice) A bench of Hopper / Valentin / Dickerson? / Herr? / Cantu / Freel Rotation of: Harang Arroyo Bailey Livingston / Dumatrait / Maloney / Cheap F.A. signing. You don't think Keppinger will be a Red next year?
July 31, 200719 yr Did anyone else listen to Lance today from about 5:15 to 5:35? Nope, what he complain about?
July 31, 200719 yr You don't think Keppinger will be a Red next year? I don't think there is anyway he isn't....
July 31, 200719 yr Not trading Dunn mostly. I am really starting to belive he doesn't know jack about Baseball. He wanted to give Eric Byrnes 11 Mil a year and pass of Dunn for 15 Mil a year and sign Griff till he retires.
July 31, 200719 yr ^Me personally, I wouldn't give either of those guys that kind of money, although I would take Dunn over Byrnes in a heartbeat.

If that is truly their thoughts then why get rid of Krivsky? I think he's done a very solid job, and made some very good acquisitions for the Reds.
