July 1, 200719 yr We have had a few threads on favorite songs and the like. I was just wondering, what are everyones picks for the worst song ever?? I haven't seen if this subject has been posted before or not so sorry if it is a repeat. My pick for worst song EVER would have to be "Brand New Key", that thing drove me insane :irked: . I don't even remember who sang it (if that is what some want to call it) and I believe it was in the 70's - not even sure on that. I tried to block it out of my memory. "I've got a brand new pair of roller skates, you got a brand new key......................" . It was terrible and you couldn't get it out of your head. :madman: :lol: It reached the top of the charts in February 1971. I kinda like it. I guess I should have put that in the "Guilty Pleasure" thread.:lol: My vote goes to "Mony Mony" by Tommy James and the Shondells.
July 1, 200719 yr "MacArthur's Park", by Richard Harris. His only hit, unless he sang as Dumbledorf in Harry Potter. I'm still trying to understand why it "took so long to bake the cake"...and why he'll "never have that recipe again." Does anyone know what message this song is attempting to convey? I've never understood.
