I voted yes, but that would only be with some pitching in return. The Reds can't afford to have JR and Dunn in the same outfield. Dunn is having a good year and if the guy ever figures out that if he would take get himself in shape physically he could be an All Star player.

I saw that and he didnt look to be hustling to hard he just happened to hit that one pretty soft. But he shouldnt be in that situation. Runners on first and second 1 out he swings at the first pitch he sees which was outside and he tries to pull it thats going to be a inning ending ground ball that is the second time in the past 2 days he has done that very same thing.

All I'm saying is that I seriously doubt fans of the majority of teams would treat Dunn the way we have. It's almost like it's cool to hate Dunn.... It seems like a few years ago most people liked him, while there were a few critiques who couldn't stand his style of play. Then we started losing and the cliche thing to say about Dunn is that he is lazy and never hustles.

Did it ever occur to anyone that maybe he's doing his best in the field? I mean, I seriously doubt Dunn makes decisions in the middle of a game (play) like "You know what, I don't feel like hustling after this ball". And on the basepaths... guys who actually run out routine ground balls are few and far between.... people just love to rip on Dunn for stuff like that because it's become the normal thing to do in Cincinnati.

I'm not saying it's ok for Dunn to not hustle, if he is in fact purposefully not hustling, I just think he is extremly demotivated playing for Cincinnati fans and we will be sorry when he is in another city that loves him putting up the same power numbers that he has here.

The guy has taken a lot of abuse in Cinncinati and has never once shown a bad attitude or caused any problems. I believe he deserves some credit just for that....

Yeah we will miss him. I guess I should've rewarded the question would we want Dunn gone to get some pitching cause I would rather have pitching than him. But I do give Dunn that he hasn't had a bad attitude or anything comments which I respect them for, I just never really like him that much I've never been ok with a 200+ strikeouts a year and 40 homer guy but thats my personal feeling.

I do. I like him but I'm just not a fan of slow outfielders that strike out as much as he does. I like Dunn and it's fun watching him hit bombs but I'd rather have better defense, speed and most of all some pitching. I think I could hit HR's in GABP!

The first move I would make is to fire everybody in the pen along with the coaches. The guys in 3A and 2A couldn't be much worse if any worse at all. I like Griffey too but if I could get something young out of him that is worth it I'd trade him while he's hot too. I like them both but the Reds are pretty bad! I still love them and watch them all the time with my dad but they've got to start taking care of their pitching or they will never win!

In case you missed it we have tried a lot of guys from AAA already this year. It's much of the same.

Weathers has done well this year. Today is a classic case of Reds baseball. Outfield isn't very good and middle relief is awful! I'd get whatever pitching I could out of Dunn.. Griff or both. Outfielders are a dime a dozen and most major league outfielders can hit homeruns in GABP. A lot of them without striking out as much and definatly better in the field!
