June 19, 200719 yr Contact your local Conservation Officer (Game Warden) and tell him of your problem. They will remove see that the racoons are removed from your property. Removing the food source as TrueBlueAndGold suggested will also help. Remember that their is a regulated hunting & trapping season on racoons so be careful as to not violate any game laws or it may be more of a problem than the coons. If you need the name of the warden in your county , pm me with your county name and I will give you the name & a number where he can be reached. I would also be careful (especially if you have kids) if the coons do not appear to be afraid of humans. That is a sign of a possible rabid animal.

June 24, 200719 yr I have found a solution.......There is a spray called indoor/ outdoor repellent for dogs and cats made by simple solutions. I sprayed it at the base of the trash cans and personally watched the raccoons come close to the cans and turn and dive back into the woods. I don't know if it works on cats and dogs but it sure turns away the raccoons.
