By the way, and please forgive me for thread jacking here, since you are a B-ball fan, I'm sure you played alittle hoops at the court on Lewis street and and at Goebel park? Goebel guy here all the way. Lived a little bit closer to it than Lewis. Honestly don't recall ever playing at Lewis, but know where you're talking about. I believe that the Trames were no doubt the Kings of the Lewis hoops as they lived about a 1/2 minute walk from there. In my mind, Goebel's was legendary. You even had people like Dan Tieman get his start there. Hardly a day would go by even in cold weather you didn't have a game going. Loved it there. When they started having Octoberfests in the Mainstrasse in the early 80's people still tried to play right in the middle of a festival, so they moved the courts down to the sewer hole that they now call Kenny Shields Park. I'm glad they honored him with a park, but it's never been the same since. I think Kenny would agree.

January 19, 201412 yr This discussions begins and ends with Indie's. Well then Indie's needs to open a location in NKY since they would make a killing up here. Who doesn't love quality fried chicken! January 20, 201412 yr Between the two, Lees crispy and not even close. KFC is not what it used to be when I was younger for sure. By the way, Lees chicken ppop pie is pretty tasty too, and I'm not a pop pie fan.

January 20, 201412 yr The Hitching Post at 4535 Kellogg Ave. in Cincinnati has really good fried chicken. I've heard that Remke's has really good fried chicken, but I've yet to try it.
January 20, 201412 yr Neither, both are greasy messes. Plus the hormones injected into those poor birds make it even less finger licken good.
January 20, 201412 yr Lee's over KFC. But I'll take Remke's or Kroger's chicken over the fast food joints any day of the week. Used to love Popeye's, but haven't eaten it in about 15 years. They served me some undercooked chicken once, and I haven't been back since.
