CJTank74 Posted April 19, 2007 Posted April 19, 2007 What does everyone think about the Reds broadcasters on Fox Sports Net? I thought I would like Brantley and Brenneman in the booth, but they just seem to be to critical of the players. In my opinion, broadcasters are there to announce the game...let the players play. I like Welch and Grande much better. Any thoughts on the subject?
HammerTime Posted April 19, 2007 Posted April 19, 2007 I would reather watch with no sound than listen to Grande and Welch. Brantly and TB RULE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
TonyDanza Posted April 19, 2007 Posted April 19, 2007 Baseball on radio!!!!!    Brenneman scary old man!

Pat Dad Posted April 19, 2007 Posted April 19, 2007 Baseball on radio!!!!!    Brenneman scary old man! I bet you listen to the Cubs broadcast, don't you? :sssh:
HOMELESS CAMEL Posted April 19, 2007 Posted April 19, 2007 I prefer the radio, unless Jeff and Thom are calling the game on TV. As has been said many times before, listening to George and Chrissy, I would rather watch a Norwegian instructional video on how to vaccum your carpet.
Habib Posted April 19, 2007 Posted April 19, 2007 I like Welch and Grande much better. Any thoughts on the subject? You have to be kidding!
Hat Trick Posted April 19, 2007 Posted April 19, 2007 I can listen to all of them, in which ever way they are paired....until...Brantley does the play-by-play. He should really just stick to the color commentary.
CJTank74 Posted April 19, 2007 Author Posted April 19, 2007 You have to be kidding! Well, I'm not a big fan of them either. I just like to watch the baseball game and I think the other two are just to opinionated about the player. All they talk about is the mistakes the players make, like the other day when Valentin hit a three run single...seconds before the hit, they were bashing him for swing at a 2-0 count. Just let them play. Maybe I'll start watching with no sound...
Italian Stallion Posted April 19, 2007 Posted April 19, 2007 I would rather try to touch my brain with a q tip than listen to Grand and Welsh. I love Brantley and Brenneman. Sure they're critical... but they're not making anything up. Its all true.

If he popped that up he'd look like the biggest idiot alive. He just got lucky and came through.

Welsh and Grande should be doing HS games, and that has become painfully obvious listening to first-rate pros like Brantley and Thom the past few weeks. The contrast couldn't be more stark.
