AverageJoesGym Posted April 10, 2007 Posted April 10, 2007 Great move by the commish, it will take more moves like this in order to get these guys attention.

UKPat02 Posted April 10, 2007 Posted April 10, 2007 Good, I'm tired of people being leinient with these thugs...
fieldhousekrayzie21 Posted April 10, 2007 Posted April 10, 2007 Good for Roger. He is showing the players they can't make those type of choices and still play in the league.
HHSDawgs1424 Posted April 10, 2007 Posted April 10, 2007 This should have came a long time ago. Sad thing about it though is Pacman has said before "If it came down to my friends or NFL, I'd choose my friends." Do you think this really bothers him? Having to sit out a year? Maybe he'll team up with Artest and turn his attention to a RECORD LABEL in the "off season"

PutMeInCoach Posted April 10, 2007 Posted April 10, 2007 I don't think the whole season was necessary. He wasn't convicted of any crimes.
nees1212 Posted April 10, 2007 Posted April 10, 2007 I don't think the whole season was necessary. He wasn't convicted of any crimes. He must have rubbed Goodell the wrong way during their meeting. It wouldn't surprise me if he acted like he didn't really care when meeting with Goodell.
goherd96 Posted April 10, 2007 Posted April 10, 2007 When you are a representative of a multi million dollar venture, a la the NFL, you are expected to put forth a positive public image. These guys are making millions and acting as if they have no sense and are above the law. Ray Lewis should be thankful this happened after his Super Bowl incident. It still galls me the self righteous attitude he has displayed since especially in the SI interview last year. In any event, hopefully other pro leagues will take a stand against criminal behavior and the poor public image some of their athletes exhibit.

RockPride Posted April 10, 2007 Posted April 10, 2007 ^ :thumb: I am so happy about it......that's the first example..
HOMELESS CAMEL Posted April 10, 2007 Posted April 10, 2007 ESPN was showing that Pacman has been involved with at least 10 off the field "incidents". Some within the players association said they wanted him banned for life from the NFL. Now the question is can Pacman stay clean for an entire year, you got to think if he gets in trouble while on suspension he is done.
spindoc Posted April 10, 2007 Posted April 10, 2007 I bet if there's a Mrs. PacMan, she is ticked, how are they gonna feed the Pacmidgets? Feel the wrath Playa!
cvillecat Posted April 10, 2007 Posted April 10, 2007 Great job by the commish. Maybe this will open the eyes of others and make them think before making certain choices in the lifestyle.
