April 14, 200719 yr Cubs 2-0 through 5. Marty mentioned Dunn's weak arm on the sac fly that let Floyd get to third. Suicide squeeze where Ross doesn't cover the plate. Arroyo not pitching that badly and getting no run support again. At least so far.
April 14, 200719 yr The Reds get 2 on, with two out in the 2nd, but Ross continues to look completely loss at the plate. He strikes out on 3 pitches. Ross is lost at the plate, he couldn't" hit a bull in the butt with a bass fiddle" :irked: . Now since I have blasted him he will probably break out of it and go on a tear . That is usually the way it works.

The Reds could use your help.
April 14, 200719 yr Cubs lefties have dominated the Reds this year. How about calling this game over, much like yesterday HC. The Reds could use your help. I didn't call the game "over" yesterday, I was just enjoying the fact the Reds were playing like the Bad News Bears. If I would have known that the Cubs would resume that role later on, I wouldn't have said anything. lol Needless to say, I'm not saying ANYTHING til this game is over. : ) Cubs 2-0 through 6. Arroyo will start to tire and let's see if Narron leaves him too long again.
April 14, 200719 yr Arroyo leaves with 2 outs in the 7th down 3-0. Infield hit led to the third run. Arroyo gives up 2 runs in his first start, 2 runs against Arizona and 3 today. No offense support at all. I know he was charged with 4 runs in that first start, but the bullpen let those runs score, I don't blame Bronson for that. Nevermind, I guess the Cubs got a fourth run that I missed. 4-0 Cubs with Arroyo now gone.
April 14, 200719 yr I just want to see those great words again that says," And This One Belongs To The Reds.":thumb:
April 14, 200719 yr Very nice win for the Cubs today, Arroyo is snakebit and can't get any run support at all. Reds had what seemed like 210 baserunners the first five innings and couldn't get any of them in. I will be happy when tomorrow is over with and I can go back to pulling for the Reds against the Brewers. I think Sheets pitches tomorrow and the Reds could avoid him.
April 14, 200719 yr Arroyo is 5-9 with an 8.28 ERA since July 4. I knew his record wasn't the greatest since his amazing start in the first half of last year. Didn't realize the ERA was that high. Well he is giving the team a chance to win in his first three starts and not getting much help.
April 14, 200719 yr Arroyo is 5-9 with an 8.28 ERA since July 4. Yeah, and Ross is hitting something like .202 since the second half of last season. Adjustments are needed, especially offensively. As for Arroyo, they should've not walked Ward to face Soriano.
April 14, 200719 yr Author As for Arroyo, they should've not walked Ward to face Soriano. Soriano was 3-22 against Arroyo for his career...
April 14, 200719 yr Good win for the cubbies today, dropping 4 in a row makes it hard for me to enjoy baseball season
