But he was still throwing 95-96, and had only given up 2 hits all game, and only thrown a little over 90 pitches, some where in the mid-90's. And as Thom kept pointing out over and over and over and over, none of the A's hitters could hit the heater, still. He could have easily gone 7 2-3 to 8 innings.

Quick story. The first game I took my son to see was at Riverfront. It was the year that Danny Jackson was runnerup in the Cy Young voting.

 

We had seats in that little section of blue seats down in the right-field corner. We arrived at the very end of batting practice, and Danny had just finished shagging flies. He was gathering up the baseballs that were near him. I asked him to toss a ball to me for my son. He did. It was a great experience for my son to get a baseball no more than 5 minutes after arriving at his first MLB game. I really think that helped him on his way to becoming a MLB fan.

Right now the Reds have the worst record in the majors. If that holds true for the remainder of the season, expect lots of negative posts. If they improve somewhat, but not enough to challenge in a weak division, the posts will slow down to a crawl. If they somehow get their act together and make a late run, the posts will pick up.

 

I see around 10,000; maybe a few more, for the yearly total. Of course, GT can skew the results all by his lonesome.
