The fact that owner was sitting behind the dugout and openly questioning Girardi's moves may have had something to do with it.

He should catch some flack for that remark. He makes it sound like the Reds don't look at him as a person or a player but an employee number.

 

Mark Prior made a similar comment in Spring Training and absolutely got ripped for it in the Chicago media. My thinking is, there aren't too many people in Cincinnati that care anymore and won't take the trouble to call Junior out. They're looking forward to the start of Bengals training camp.

That's what I was thinking too, but I wanted to wait until someone else said something. I thought it may have just been my bias towards Junior.

Not saying this will happen, but would be nice for the Reds. Mark Buerhle is said to be on the trading block. Mike and Mike talked about a Mets trade that would bring Buerhle to them. But, what if the Reds seeked Mark by offering Dunn and maybe a couple of minor leaguers or another player?

 

Mark will go to a contender. But, Cincy can dream.

I said the other day I think Buehrle for Griffey could happen. They aren't resigning him in Chicago, that much is a fact.
