I didn't see it but they said a veteran got on him for it.

I was thinking the same thing when they talked about it. Would like to know who it was, since this team has been accused on more than one occasion of not caring or not having any RAH, RAH guys in the clubhouse.

The only thing I can think of is, neither Stone or Kershner is on the 40-man. There is an open spot on the 40 man so if they wanted one of them up they would be here. Stone pitched for the Reds in 05, so by your definition he's a retread as well. A retread with 215 MLB games and a 4.57 career ERA. Kershner has appeared in 89 MLB games with a 4.22 ERA. Gosling is the least experienced pitcher of the 3 at the MLB level. Impressive. You won me over Fletch...
June 17, 200719 yr Amazing how poor the Reds are at home. I think any hope of making a run after winning the series with the Indians, has been extinguished. Throttled by the Rangers who are not so good. Nice time for a west coast swing, and in Oakland they get to see Blanton and Haren.

He was the hot commodity as asst gm in minnesota and he has been given some money to work with, if he fails here I don't see anybody rushing to hire him as gm. It may not be Narrons fault but he has to take the fall, and a major deal has to be made before July IMO

BUT it's been said before, this was a 500 team last year, it's a 500 team this year. They have gotten younger in the bullpen, they have got a good rotation and they got some young pieces throughout the lineup. It's going to take some tinkering here and there and patience more than anything else. I'm willing to give him another 2 years after this one, if they haven't progressed at all after that, then I might worry. As for Narron, he has had his chance and needs to be gone after this year.
