I would say its pretty factual that a transaction went through the bank from UK to Billy Donovan. My buddy is in a position that would definately know. If you are so confident that my buddy is a liar, private message me and we'll make a little wager on who will be the next coach.

With the personnel and it giving UK the best chance to win, wasn't it a good coaching move?

 

It may have been a good coaching move based on the players UK had. However, therein lies the problem. Tubby recruited the players he wanted to fit into HIS system. Tubby's offense dictated the type of athletes he recruited. The players did not dictate Tubby's style of play.

Thanks to the juvenile actions of a couple, the group of UK fans cannot discuss this topic and get our hopes up. You guys can carry on your little personal attacks and have your fun - that's your perogative. If any true fans would like discuss Billy D as coach and/or discuss the story I was told by my two-faced, backstabbing best friend and college roomate, feel free to PM me.

I recently was discussing with a friend who is a big, big UK fan and said that he had heard that from a close friend who's ex sister in law works with an unidentified source in the maintenance department at UK that a probationary worker had said he answered the phone the other day and it was Billy Donavan looking for Mitch Barnhart. So every thing must be true.

 

Come on folks, get a grip. Billy is not coming to Kentucky. Scratch him, Pitino and Calapari off the list..... I think I see some sweat beading up on Mitch Barnharts forehead.......

Wireman, I appologize if you feel I have personally attacked you and I also appologize for calling your friend a liar. There have been way too much crap flying around on here since Tubby left and some of it is just laughable. Everyone seems to have a source and personally I think most on here get there info from the same place I do, on here.

 

That being said I do agree that I think Donovan probably will be the next UK coach. With that said I do not believe that any money has been transferred to Donovan from UK. Maybe I am wrong and they sent him $10,000,000 but either way it can't be proven or disproven. We will just agree to disagree on this one.

The more I read and the more I talk to people, the more I believe that Donovan wont be at UK.

I am not in the know, don't pretend to be but, I would say that it is conceivable that UK could forward a nice sum of money to Billy D. to pay for his transportation to Lexington for a job interview. I would think that 8 - 10K would get you, your agent and couple others on a charter jet to and from Lexington..... UK would end up paying for this anyway.... so its a good move jester on UK's behalf, although Billy D has to use it!!! Billy has two options, send it back, Im not interested (no interview..) or he can jump on a plane next week after the final 4 is final.....

I can understand why you would be able to scratch Pitino off the list with the statement he released today, and can even understand the logic to scratch off Billy D., but why go ahead and scratch off Calapari? He would jump at the chance to coach UK and get out of Memphis.

Ok, I think its ok to go ahead and post this. A good friend of mine works at a bank in Lexington. He says that a very large sum of money was sent to one Billy Donovan this morning. I don't want to go into to much detail because I don't want to get anyone into any type of trouble. It's of course unofficial, but if I had the opportunity to lay money on it, I would bet that Billy D is heading for a press conference when the Gators lose (or win it all).
