I was in Frankfort this morning with Representative Keith Hall,

House District 93, great friend of the family. We had breakfast with Kenny Walker, who was being honored by the House of Representatives this morning. This was a very small gathering at breakfast. Kenny was asked about the past and future coaching at UK. He said he really liked Tubby but didn't like his style of play. He went on to say that his sources are saying Billy D is the man as soon as the Tourny is over. If anyone has inside sources Kenny would. Everything about the breakfast, Kenny being in town, and Keith Hall can be confirmed on the web.

My cousin is tracking BD's rental car

 

Okay, my cousin works for Enterprise just outside of Gainesville and called to tell me that BD took a 2006 Honda Accord around 8:30 this morning.

 

They installed GPS devices in every one of their cars and they can track their vehicles. I don't know why a person wouldn't fly (if he is going where we hope he is) and THEN rent a car, but it could be for cloaking reasons.

 

My cousin said he is just north of Atlanta on I-75 heading towards (it looks ilke) Chattanooga.

 

I know rumors are flying, but I'll keep you all posted.

Friend of a friend, not sure how much merit it has but might as well report it (seems to be the trend on this chat board)...He's the email I received unedited:

I'm a cousin of the next door neighbor of BD's pool guy...

 

and he told me that on the deck of their pool is contracts from several real estate agents who want to sell their home. Looks like it's a done deal

 

My friend is a Vet in Gainsville....

 

He takes care of Billy D's dog. I have learned that the dog

had a computer tracking chip placed in it's stomach.

 

We are now tracking the dog's location.

Riding lessons for the Donovans?

I have a friend who has an acquaintance who works at a stable near Lexington.

 

Word has it that this particular facility received a call just this weekend from a woman inquiring about riding lessons for herself and her four children. Said she was planning on relocating to the area soon but would not give her name.

 

Billy D. and his wife have four children. A mere coincidence? I don't think so.

I can understand why you would be able to scratch Pitino off the list with the statement he released today, and can even understand the logic to scratch off Billy D., but why go ahead and scratch off Calapari? He would jump at the chance to coach UK and get out of Memphis.

 

Pitino has released a statement today that in essence says he is not going anywhere and he is not going to Kentucky.

 

I would take that as a "I am not interested in the UK job...."

 

Calapari released a statment, in todays CJ, which said he is happy with Memphis and that is where he wants to be....

 

I would take that as a "I am not interested in the UK job....."

 

 

Billy D. => I'm not convinced Barnhart has the skills to land Billy D. Even if Billy D was on the fence. Its not a money issue to land Billy D. Sure, UK can come up with all the money, but I'm not sure Billy D's motivation is all $$$ (sure he will get a pay raise at FLA.). I think he thrives on success, hard work and happiness. The personal satisfaction and longevity of the position at UK is something that has to have a big ? Being the biggest and most prestegious is not always the best. Florida won the title in 2006... and could in 2007. What makes you think that 1, Billy will not reload and be competitive in a few years? 2. That he could very well turn around and do this again in a few years.... all at little ole Florida.... Case being and point -- Billy D. does not need to prove anything to the basketball world. He is the hottest coach, period. He is successful with 15,ooo fans.... so, what, his teams kicked our buts.... I would draw a lot of satisfaction knowing I can beat the UK's, even with their 23,500 Rupp arena.... Why would he want to take on all the extra pressure, which is about 90% negative, with the UK job. He just might enjoy a good football game now and then too. He can slip down to the swamp and check out the Gator football team and be very well recieved and respected by everyone in attendance. Not so sure one can say that about UK.

 

These are some of the reasons why I'm scratching Billy D. off the list.

So IF Billy Boy doesn't come to UK. He makes the statement that he's not intersted in the UK job and doesn't want to deal with the fans, how many people will have to seek medical help to deal with such a trajedy as someone not wanting to come here. I was around Billy some and my roommate worked with him directly when he was coach at Marshall. He is a Pitino clone and has the ego to match it...IMO, he would love the opportunity to take the best job in college basketball and return UK to prominence.

Yea... I mentioned that in my original post and agreed that you could scratch Pitino off the list

 

If Billy D. came to UK 90% if the pressure wouldn't be negative, he would be a king in the bluegrass, kinda like when Pitino was here. I think Billy D. would get the same kind of uotpouring from the fans.
