You can say its the coach all you want, but in this instance where it is moving to a smaller school they just arent going to be there. It doesnt sound great, but I will wait to see who we get. And if we cant get those two, maybe they had a commit from before that they can bring in.

March 23, 200719 yr What are the chances he and Lucas come to UK? What coach has to be here for that to happen? Obviously if Billy D was considered for the job then Patterson may show interest. But if these kids are supposed to decide by the All-American game, then that is definently short notice.
March 23, 200719 yr I don't think I'll be able to watch a UK game next yeaer, it may make me sick. I haven't been able to stomach watching their games for a couple of years now. Sounds like Patterson was going to play for the coach and wasn't so much interested in the school. As a lifelong UK fan, I know the Cats will be fine, I don't see next year being much rougher than this so the doomsayers can all go take a leap... Head coach of the UK men's basketball team is the pre-eminent job in college sports...PERIOD. There will be many coaches express interest in the position and the program will go on. It now comes down to Barnhart's choice and he has made some outstanding one's in the other sports so I fully expect this to be no different.

Or, if Tubby is the reason and not the school, last I checked he's still in the business. If they really want to play for Tubby, then they'll commit to Minnesota.
