If anything I hope this ends the nonsense about home court advantage because the better team won today.

 

 

 

Even though Clark Co. won today, I am still puzzled at how you don't see playing on your home court is not a home court advantage. :confused: :confused:

I think Rupp being used in the NCAA tournament threw schedule off. So I believe that is the reason for the odd days.

 

I could be wrong, so someone can correct me if needed.

 

What does Rupp have to do with the 10th playing on Sunday? The 9th played Wed/Thurs and will play Mon/Tuesday. Girls played semis Friday/finals Saturday.

I'm having trouble picturing what you're describing. He was shooting a 3 point shot and instead of it going towards the rim it went backwards? How is the possible?

Weren't many of you singing a different tune yesterday, when the officiating was being questioned in the BB-MC game?? Funny how the tune changes when your team gets the short end of the stick?? I've got no idea how the officials were in this game, but if Mason didn't get the calls today as you're claiming; then welcome to what the rest of us have endured for years!! Hurt's doesn't it!!

 

 

This is exactly right BG GREEN! Mason Co. loves it when its going there way, but when it doesnt, we all have to suffer through it. Why not just give the GRC players credit for winning the game.

For the exception of a couple kids post i havent seen nothing but Congrats and respect for GRC from Mason.

Exactly:thumb: They just don't ever want to admit it. But today, it didn't matter. GRC came ready to play today and was not going to be denied. Congrats to Mason on an excellent season....

 

On the over and back thing.... Preston was shooting, and it slipped out of his hands as he was in the shooting motion.... so take it from there because I don't know what the rule is on that. The officials didn't decide the outcome of this game, Preston Knowles and his cards did.

On here you cant determine between kids and adults... If they are kids than you can expect that.... Great clarification MHighfield

Here's the deal.....because RUPP is a first and second round site for the NCAA tourney, the boys & girls Sweet 16's had to flip flop the order this year. Since the girls Sweet 16 is played first this year, their regionals had to be completed first, meaning most regions playing girls semi-finals on Friday night and girls finals on Saturday night. That meant the boys had to decide between playing semi-finals and finals on Monday and Tuesday nights, like the girls have been doing the last several years, or playing Saturday and Sunday afternoon. I've been told that the decision makers were afraid that crowds would suffer on Monday and Tuesday nights more so than they would on Saturday and Sunday afternoons, and thus the decision was made to play in the afternoons. I personally prefer the evening games better, even if they were played on week nights. The 3:00 and 3:30 games weren't bad, but I thought noon on Saturday was way too early. I'd be interested to hear other people's opinions on Saturday/Sunday afternoons vs. Monday/Tuesday evenings.

Would much rather had evening games .

I like the day games...much easier for us that travel so far.

Listened to the game on the radio. It sounded like a great game to attend. It is too bad either team had to lose.

 

On a side note, it is really odd that the Mason County local newspaper would print an article on the front page of the paper about a Sweet Sixteen celebration (organized by Mason County fans) before the regional semi-finals. That is really tempting fate and karma.........not a good idea. It seems that the article could have been held back for a few more days.

Preston Knowles officially cancelled that royal party!!

If they don't win the region next year it will be a huge suprise. They return the bulk of their scoring with Miller, Setty, and Middleton. All who I'm sure will be much improved next year. Don't know how deep they will be though, losing 4 of their top 7 in playing time.
