I wont say his name, but I think "that one guy" played against those teams, and not against UK...

Good point, makes it even harder to count them as a quality win.

I think if UK wins the SEC they will get a 5 seed. If they lose in the championship probably a 6 seed, anything other than that a 7 seed.

I'd rather have a 10 rather than an 8 or 9.

Totally agree. To me an 8-9 is worst case scenario. I would rather be a 7-10.

They'd be better off getting a lower seed than an 8 or 9.

If UK does not win at least 1 game in the SEC Tourney, they could be going to the NIT instead of the NCAA. There are a lot of 20-10 teams in the country right now, and many of them are not on a 1-5 skid.

Plus, if there are more upsets in conference tourneys, like the Creighton win over SIU, that eliminates those on the bubble like the 'Cats.

The chances of UK making the field are better than average right now, as long as they don't lose the first game in the SEC tourney. If they lose to 'Bama, the only thing that will save the 'Cats is the fact that the fan base travels well, and because they are Kentucky.

I think Creighton was most likely in by just making the finals. I agree though, good point, alot of these bubble teams dont want to sit mid-major upsets.

Upsets in mid-major conference tourneys are the worst thing that can happen to teams in UK's situation.

I think it depends a little on what they do in the tournament. They win it and they might move up to a 6 or 7. Lost first round and 8 and might drop to a 10 seed.

If they win it, I think they do better than a 6 or 7 seed...I mean wasn't Syracuse last year suppose to miss the tournament, and then they go and win the big east tournament, and they moved up from missing the tournament to a 4 seed...

So I think if UK wins the tournament, while probably having to beat Alabama, Miss. St, Vandy, and UF or Tennessee in the finals. Probably would get UK to a 4 seed as well, because with our strength of schedule, and then winning a tournament in a conference that is listed #1 in the RPI, would get them to that spot...

UK will be in the NCAA tournament no matter what, enough said...

9 seed, but with a couple of wins in the SEC Touny could get a 7 seed.

#8 Seed. They've got that weirdly high RPI. The strength of schedule dose'nt suprise me, but the fact that they lost to the meat of that schedule dose'nt say much. Anyone can schedule hard and lose.

UK wins out... 5th seed.

Gotta commend your undying optimism. :thumb:
