March 5, 200719 yr I don't know if it's a new standard...but it is certainly not a suprise....playing early in the SEC tourney can be a double edged sword...if they were gonna lose, it doesn't really matter when in the tourney they would....but if they play real well against Alabama, they could march right in against UF (assuming they don't get beat) with a nice 3 game win streak and a bunch of momentum in south Lexington. Do you all think the same amount will still travel? Also, I saw the ACC tourney will be in Atlanta in '09, I think...where will the SEC be that year? I see it more of a fatal game for UK. Say they lose to Bama, we know there in the tourney, but a first round loss, to a so-so team would assure us a weak seed if you ask me. Comittee will probably view it as; we gotta put them in the tourney but they sure don't deserve to be high which most already know anyways. Making it to the championship is best case scenario, because, they already have the seeds picked before the game is over 9 times out of 10. Would boost us up a little.

Future SEC Tournament Dates & Sites 2008 March 13-16 Georgia Dome, Atlanta, Ga. 2009 March 12-15 St. Pete Times Forum, Tampa, Fla. 2010 March 11-14 Gaylord Entertainment Center, Nashville, Tenn. 2011 March 10-13 Georgia Dome, Atlanta, Ga. 2012 March 8-11 New Orleans Arena, New Orleans, La.
March 5, 200719 yr I agree the easier matchup is Auburn. If UK does get past Bama then I like the draw. Much better than being in the bottom half of the bracket. :thumb: I would also rather have had Auburn but I like our bracket. U.K. 76 Bama 68
March 5, 200719 yr Not a good opening game for either team. Bama is playing to get in the dance. I think they have to get in the finals to get in. As for UK, they are in, but not a very good seed.
March 5, 200719 yr VERY scary game for the Cats, but good thing Alabama is inconsistant. Alabama knows they have to win in order to get in, so they will very much be ready to play. On the other hand the Cats know in order to get a good seed, the Cats will have to be ready to play also...On a side note...I HAVE CLASS AT 12:30 :irked: :fight: :madman: Anyone know of a good note I could use??? With that said... Cats- 72 Bama- 67

Thus, her car was stuck in the garage until the electric came back on. If not true, it was unbelievably creative.

March 5, 200719 yr Bama is schizophrenic, at best. UK is bipolar and catatonic, at times. Sigmund Freud needs to referee this one! Bama was #4 in the nation earlier in the year. Tougher opening round game than I had hoped.
March 5, 200719 yr The way that UK is playing now, probably going to take a very good effort and execuition to get the W vs. Bama. It is so difficult these days in Men's basketball to not pay attention and learn throughout the season and expect to make it all up in a couple of weeks..... Denny's teams tried this in the late 80's and 90's and it will not get the job done. It reality, UK is done, medium, no blood or spirit left.... Will be a monumental task to bring this sirlon back.... Its all over except for the final char broil to complete the job of "stick a fork in em, they are well done.....". All of this is said based on the notion or goal of making it to a regional final.... Just highly improbable...
