March 8, 200719 yr 'Cats at #17...in NCBWA UK is 12-0 and #18, in Collegiate Baseball Top-30 and #20, in USA Today/ESPN Coaches Poll. Anyone going to the Coaches Clinic, on March 10th On Saturday, March 10 from 8:30 until 10:30 a.m., Coach Cohen and the Wildcat coaching staff will cover Skills, Drills, and Motivational Techniques. Clinic will be at the Nutter Field House and is Free. We are planning on taking our team to the UofL game on Sat. I am not a Cardinal fan but they invited us down to the new stadium for a walk around and to meet the new coach. I think I am going to try to go to Lexington for the coaches clinic and then book to Louisville. I hate missing the game but we have a team trip planned to UK on the 18th to see the Arkansas game.

March 8, 200719 yr from the UK Athletics, website.... Kentucky has now won 23 consecutive regular season home games at Cliff Hagan Stadium, the longest such streak in the nation. The Wildcats have now plated 152 runs in just 13 games, after setting the school record with 500 runs scored during 2006. UK has outscored opponents 152-42.

Well I took a baseball coaching class here in college, and coach Cohen told us that he told his players not to get out of the way of pitches, but to let it hit you. His reasoning for this is very good, he said if people back out of the way of inside pitchers, it allows the pitcher to own the inside half of the plate. But if the pitcher knows your not going to get out of the way if it is coming at you, they would be more afraid to throw inside because they wouldn't want to put a guy on by hitting them. So this way it gives the hitters the advantage because they would know what pitches are coming they usually could look for pitchers over the middle or on the outside part of the plate, because it usually might make pitchers scared to pitch inside then... Coach Cohen is one of the best coaches in America, and definitely one of the best offensive coaches in America in his technique to hitting...

His recruiting process seems to be very good in the sense that he is mixing players from the north and players with south.
