Without a doubt in contention. Basically they need to win the series against Auburn and maybe win a game in the SEC tournament.

Rivals has them as the next in line for an at-large in the tournament according to this week's projections. Last week they were the fifth in line. A weekend sweep (or at least a 2-1 win) over Auburn should put them in the SEC Tournament, which I think will get them into the big dance.

The boys put themselves in a gigantic hole. Down 12-3 in the bottom of 7 and Cohen just ripped the infield a new one. Down 9 they gave up a hit on a routine ground ball to SS and a stolen base on the next pitch. To say he wasn't happy is the understatement of the year.

They win the next two they are in and have a shot at a seed as high as 5 in Hoover, AL.

Lose 1 of the next 2 and they are toast.

They lost a lot of talent from last year. Streiby and Shelby to mention a few.

Then Cowgill got hurt and was lost for the season.

They still have a shot...win the next two, which they should, in my opinion and they head to the Met.

Plus they have a very young pitching staff. The future looks good...

Losing Coughlin after this year will be a big blow. Cohen predicts he'll go somewhere around the 5th round.
