May 14, 200719 yr The Cats took 2 out of 3 against Ole Miss this week in a huge series. They are right on the line of making the SEC tournament. They host Auburn this week in the last SEC series of the year. If they take 2 games, they are almost a lock for the SEC tournament. They won the finale today 9-7. On what must have been a bizarre at bat in the 8th inning Brian Spear was hit by two pitches but not awarded first base. The first resulted in an argument that got Cohen ejected and the 2nd resulted in the ejection of assistant coach Nick Mingione. Spears eventually walked. Good series win for the Cats, hopefully they can take next weekend's series and get into the SEC tourney.
