This years Cats are much like the Wizard of Oz. Morris is the Tinman hoping to get a heart. Bradley is the Scarecrow looking for a brain. Perry is the Cowardly Lion hoping to get some courage and Crawford is Toto. He is a dog.

If UK loses out and makes the NIT, I propose a boycott of the possible home game by the fans.

There you go, give up on them. That's exactly what this team needs. I watched Cincinnati football for many years and wasted 4 hours of my life, but I still watched every Sunday...

 

I'm fairly certain that whether I watch them play each game (which I don't have time to do anyway) will not affect them positively or negatively. Furthermore, I didn't say that I was turning on the team, hoping for them to lose, or any of those types of things. I'll still be happy when they win, upset when they lose, and I'll follow them through other means such as the recaps and such. But I have no desire to sit down and watch them play again this year. I have better things I can do with my time, and I'm fairly certain that my wife would agree.

While it may not affect them by you individually turning negative it is effective when 90% of the Big Blue Nation turns to negative town. It destroys the morale of these young men (if there is any left). It's so easy to judge young men from outside the glass box...

Whatever, I don't know what to tell you. I just told you that it's not like I won't support UK or that I'll run them down, I just simply won't be watching for the rest of this season (which is what, somewhere in the realm of 6 games). You make it sound like I said "I'm no longer a UK fan. Tubby must go! Go Tennessee!"

Sorry for making it seems that way. I guess I'm kind of singling you out. For no reason, but everyone is so tough on these guys. I cannot imagine the pressure/expectations they must live up to...

 

I don't know about the no reason part (especially a player like Morris), but yeah, they're probably under crushing pressure and expectations, which doesn't make it any easier. I would say the area where people get frustrated with the players is with a lack of effort. You can't fault someone when they try and fail (well, I guess you CAN but you shouldn't), but when you see these players that go out there and are clearly not giving 100%, that's what upsets people. Prime case being Randolph Morris.

This loss is the kind that could really kill a team's will. I think we all agree that this is a mentally fragile team to begin with- this might be enough to break them.
