February 26, 200719 yr Weird numbers today. UK shoots 58% from field, hits high percentage of threes, hit Ft's and outrebound Vandy...yet lose. In OTS's tenure, UK has lont only four games when they have shot 50% or better. 3 have come in the last 2 years. 2 of them this year, and both inside of a couple of weeks, at Tennessee and Vandy.

If you shoot that much more you can survive strange numbers...
February 26, 200719 yr They know he's going to shoot regardless of situation there. They all went to the rim. Poor execution all around. No excuse for that effort with 9 seconds left all around... Well I agree with the effort all around for the last 9 seconds was not there, however that is why I am not upset with the last shot, because it was in the hands of the guy who always gives effort. And well honestly with the way most of our end of halfs or end of game shots we take after timeouts, this shot was actually a pretty darn good shot compared to most of the shots we take there...
February 26, 200719 yr Thomas was wide open in the corner. So you would have rather THOMAS take a shot at the end of the game from the corner, than Bradley take a shot in the lane that honestly he usually makes???

No doubt it was a solid look. He got in the lane at close distance and it rimmed out. Such is life when you demand hero or goat status...
February 26, 200719 yr 12 more shots by UT and 15 more by Vandy. If you shoot that much more you can survive strange numbers... It all comes back to turnovers. High number of turnovers today and in Knoxville. 3 shot clock violations was inexcusable. They should adopt George Strait's song "Just Give it Away" as their theme song.
February 26, 200719 yr 1. Total lack of effort by Randolph "charmin" Morris  (I now call him charmin bc he is soft) 2. Bradley is no point guard, I would hope that today's lack of point guard ability out of him would put that ridiculous talk to rest on here. (by the way, did I mention tha I think that Morris(charmin) plays soft?? :irked: ) For all of you all who keep saying this, who would you want running the point then?? I mean in all honesty WE HAVE NO POINT GUARD. If we have Jasper in there at the end of the game, people are just going to lay off of him and allows them to double alot of other people alot easier because they dont have to worry about Jasper scoring, so that is like a turnover as well. That is the main reason why I say Bradley needs to be at the point. Yeah Bradley does some STUPID things sometimes, but there is alot of things that Jasper does or does not do that does not show up in the stats that KILLS this team. Porter honestly is probably the closest thing to a real point guard we got, because he is pass first but also can shoot, but right now he is not good enough to go against quicker guards. So we pretty much are in a barrel when it comes to the point guard spot. So that is why I say have Bradley at the point because if either way we are going to have some bad stuff happen at the point, we might as well have someone who can actually make up for it sometimes by scoring, and also it allows Meeks to play more who might just be the best player on the team already...
February 26, 200719 yr Bradley makes a lot of mistakes. Last few games he is at 8 assists and 16 turnovers. That is horrific no matter the position. He has done nothing to warrant taking that shot. And people wonder why I say this team needs Jai Lucas, who by the way was in attendance in College Park, MD, today. My biggest thing with that possession, is what the heck did they actually draw up? I think a pass was invlolved or maybe even a screen. Call me stupid, I would have drawn something up that utilized Bobby Perry for a three pointer...maybe run Bradley off a screen with Perry, because youknow both defenders would have gone with Bradley and Perry could have stepped away from screen and caught and shot the ball. He deserved the opportunity with his play today.
February 26, 200719 yr No doubt it was a solid look. He got in the lane at close distance and it rimmed out. Such is life when you demand hero or goat status... :thumb: I agree, but I mean I just trying to point out to people about this who keep getting on Bradley. Yeah he does some stupid things, but I mean its not like we have a top guy who he should be giving it to in those situations. I mean I really think Crawford would screw up more than Bradley in those situations, and Morris well you never know with him. The best guy to have the ball in his hands at that situation would probably be Meeks, but he was hurting. So that is why I am not upset with that shot, and trying to explain that to people. Because they get mad at him for taking that shot, but who is there to even pass the ball to in that situation?

He deserved the opportunity with his play today. My first question to the part bolded is who on the team has? The only answer to that probably would be Meeks, but he had that darn cramp which really hurt us today... And for the second part that is what I want to know to is what actually was drawn up. He might have told Bradley that if he can get a good shot off like he did, then to take it. None of us really know what was drawn up in that huddle. I agree I would have liked Perry to get that last shot, but I haven't seen the replay still but in live motion I was wathing Perry and I dont think he was open....
February 26, 200719 yr Eveyone in Memorial Gym knew Bradley was going to shoot once he got it. The entire Commonweath knew he was going to shoot when he got it....even Bradley knew he was going to shoot. Did the thought ever cross his mind that everyone knws Im going to shoot so maybe more than one player may try to stop me and then I can throw it to someone? It is stupid to watch him in late game situations. Last 8 possessions versus Florida...not a single solitary pass. Has missed clutch free throw after clutch free throw this year outside of the Arkansas game.

Well first you say he miss clutch free throws every game this year, but I seem to remember just one...Also we would have NEVER even went down to the final possession for us against Florida if it wasn't for Bradley, everyone else on the team had quit already...Also watch the replay and you will see that not many people were open for Bradley to even pass too. LRCW said that Thomas was open in the corner, but would you really want him taking the shot at the end of the game for us? I surely would hope not, until the other guys even decide to get open, then I have no problem with Bradley taking a shot in the lane like that, because that is a shot that Bradley is usually good at making, and has definitely a better shot at making it than Thomas from the corner...
