He'd be the first to tell you the Lexington Catholic suspension was his fault. He shouldn't have been cursing.

I don't think he had any intentions to hurt the kid from Ballard. If you go back and watch the rest of the game there's no extracurriculars at any point. I've tried to stay quiet on it all, but speaking like you personally know the kid and don't gets old.

With the Seneca Driver controversy, he will be on the ref's radar and will need to be on good behavior to avoid getting a costly penalty to him and the team.

I would hate to think officials go into a game with a "radar" looking for a specific player.

Players earn their reputations. And body slamming a much smaller kid should put a player on official's radar. If people are wondering why kids aren't playing football consider how many moms saw that video and decided football isn't safe for their kid. If officials and coaches don't police this stuff football will die.

Speaking of earning a reputation. I was outside my crib yesterday getting some fresh air and along came one of my neighbors walking his doggo. We usually chat for a couple of minutes when we see each other. He has no idea what I do for a living. He is a UK fan, a soccer fan, a golf fan, and a college football fan. He is not into Pro or high school sports. So we are chit chatting and he changes the subject and says to me, "Hey, did you see that Kentucky high school football player that WWE body slammed an opponent?"

Last year, after he was ejected from the Highlands basketball game for fighting, during the next few games the officials were watching him very closely. It was pretty obvious.

Guru was spot on about "reputations".

Teams (and players) get "known" for; traits, tendencies, habits, etc.

It may be termed "game prep".

Who is a "running team", "who is a passing team"?

Any previous "game issues'?

Forewarned is forearmed.

I would tend to believe other coaches are telling the officials to watch him also...

Not saying right or wrong. Just happens when you get a bad rep.

On a side note, the kid is really, really talented.

He is a great kid, great team mate and just a tough aggressive football player. Puts out 100% on every play in practice and during the games.

Players do earn their reputations; however, that reputation should be based on what has happened in that game on Friday night, not what a kid has done on previous Friday nights. It's not for officials to police, it's for officials to enforce the rules. Like knee pads, now mouth pieces those are rules that must be enforced on the high school level. The body slam was, in my opinion, and unsporting act at best and unnecessary roughness in the least.

If in my pregame, a coach tells me and my umpire that we need to watch # whatever, I inform that coach, that happened in another game, we are only going to officiate what happens in tonight's game.

In regards to the game, wonder who trots out for QB under St X.? Seems like they've been giving multiple guys snaps to get the job done.

I am interested in this game period. I think X has the ability to keep it close. If the Tigers will or not, we find out Friday night, lol.

I would play Will Burmester and since he started against Trinity, he will probably be the starter.

Who are the star players for St X??
