Watching the Elder game this past Friday night- I counted 5 sophomores that started and/or played most of the game. Bright future for these dudes.

Have I missed anyone?

Brandon Smith, Kiyan Miller & Jamir Kirtley

Ethan Zekl (OL) Cameron Hennessy (special teams).

I think these young guys have been pretty solid! A lot of the special teams issues vs Elder came from long snapping, kick coverage and mental mistakes on kickoff return that had Cov Cath start multiple drives inside their own 10.

Is Brandon Smith expected to miss much time? Likely not beating Highlands or Cathedral without him.

It didn't matter in the game, but special teams was horrible vs Elder. Has to be better this week.

Same issues as the NewCath scrimmage?

This is kind of like the UK-Florida football series people kept picking Florida every year because they had won every year nothing UK fans including me could say now fortunately for us UK fans we finally won and have really owned Florida recently. This series is like that series you can't be expected to pick Simon Kenton because they haven't won so that being the case I have to go with CC 42-21.

This week starts the slippery slope of SK's downhill slide. Tough schedule coming up. I could see four straight losses going into district play. Looking forward to their matchup with Conner. I think that will be a really good game. SK's time in the BGP 6A Top 10 (which is a stretch) will be short lived.

Cov 44

SK 6

NKY Football is Covington Catholic, Beechwood, and then Highlands in some order and then everybody else. This will start to become very clear across the northern part of the commonwealth this Friday night.

Cov. Cath big, likely with a running clock.

Mo Smith is a good return for the Pioneers!

I will say he will get a lot of chances when Cov. Cath kicks off after scoring.

They could be playing the Cincinnati Bengals and they would still get at least one vote. Lol.
