My son had THREE concussions from soccer from the age of 12-18. I worry about CTE for him. The last one took a VERY long time to get over. I played football through college. I don't recall getting sick, or experiencing any major headaches from a hit. However, accumulating that many hits has me nervous for sure. Is every time I lose my temper, or every impulse something that I can control or is it due to brain deterioration? Football players are already have a huge risk increase in getting ALS. It's definitely scary enough that it gives me pause to have a loved one play.

They are the most athletic team in the 9th by a lot. Isabel O'Brien is worth the price of admission.

Holy Cross beat Ballard in a head-to-head. Ballard is 11. Why even vote if you aren't paying attention?

I stated this in another thread. When you take into account the setting in the park, actual parking now, the track, the colors, the jumbotron, it is the best soccer complex for high school that I've been to.

NewCath loses to Holy Cross biggly, but then beats Highlands in 5 three days later. Holy Cross goes 5 with Beechwood but get smoked by NDA a week later. Volleyball is a wild sport in regards to match-ups. I love it.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again. Pabst is Julian Edelman 2.0. EVERYTHING is similar from the lean to change direction, to the freakish small space mobility, to hitting way bigger than he is.

It will take a SPECIAL team to stop this Beechwood offense. I don't see anyone in 2A able to do that.

I'm not in the "know" in regards to streaming and the like for schools. What I do know, however, is that Raceland's video production is insane. The play-by-play is great. They have a great highlight splice and the Coach's Show is well conducted. Whoever is running that needs a raise.

It MAY impact depth, but it isn't impacting the better players. Those that move the dial will be Colonels until St. Henry is out of Beechwood's District.

The opportunity to win a state championship and have scouts see you is INFINITELY better at CovCath. St. Henry needs to get into 3A as quickly as possible. Getting shellacked by Beechwood every year will not get the players on the fence to attend there. In 3A, they can grow without a regional enrollment rival (yes, Lloyd is very close, but they aren't attracting the same group). The path to a state title in 3A is way easier than it is in 2A.

This is gonna be rough. . Conner was a good lead up to this game. QB that likes to pass out of system, strong running back. Raceland's line is better than Conner's, so we will see how that all goes. NewCath is starting more of a pocket presence with Hurtt out this week. Fennell looked composed in his first action. Gary Rowland averages about 10 yards/carry and 25 yards per kick return as a Freshman. I expect to see him starting to get 1st team reps as the season progresses. Teaming him with Van and Phoenix Hundemer gives NewCath a home run threat to go with those slashers. One concern for the Breds is keeping Raceland's QB in the pocket. From the PRP and Pikeville games, Raceland's passing game really flourishes when he gets a chance to extend plays while looking for receivers. He hasn't really passed in time, so to speak, so maybe NewCath can slow the attack just by making him be a pocket passer. The other main concern is tackling. #5 will require 3 guys to the ball on every carry and pass he gets. He's definitely a man out there.

As a NewCath fan, I am VERY cognizant of were the team is...now. This will be a tough year, for sure. That said, tonight I saw parts moving in the right direction. You get the running clock, you understand that there are a bunch of coachable moments. You don't always get glimpses of what will be. Missed tackles and blown assignments will be coached. TB has guaranteed that. The talent that is developing is exciting. Get your licks in for a couple of more weeks. Conner earned that butt whooping. However, pin this post. Within three years, NewCath take 1A again.

Interestinger and interestinger. FINALLY, some intrigue in the 9th. HC is all underclassmen with tons of experience. The 35th is insane this year.

Charlotte Stevie at NewCath. She's excellent and gives NewCath the chance to have Kolbey Kohrs hit instead of having to run a 5-1. As for HC at 4, I think they beat Ryle. They beat Ballard, they've beaten Conner and they hung w Beechwood.

Conner lost to NewCath as well in the Scott tournament after going 5 sets with them on the Hill two weeks prior. Highlands, right now, is not #5. Aforementioned Conner swept them. Holy Cross at #4 is legit. They won the Scott slam, and in the All A gave Beechwood all that they could handle for the first set. Second set was a little rough, but they kept battling. They are extremely sound defensively, as you would expect w/ Jill Hunt as their coach. I'm just pumped that a certain setter FINALLY gets back next week. It's been tough for her to watch her team play so well and she can't be a part of it.

In Volleybally, Ohio County has like 7 of the state's top 10 service ace leaders w/ 3 over 100 already....that's an impossibility, LOL

And were playing against a one dimensional offense. This offense appears very well rounded. This is a MUCH tougher task.

We GET it. Every time a team here plays a GCL or good GMC score it all we hear all about it. I played college ball w GCL kids...they never shut up about it. Their basketball may be more physical than their football. It's a league of Pat Riley Knicks teams.
