February 14, 200719 yr I think that should be edited to Cat fans who can get over the run from 96 to 98, and actually that that is the norm for UK basketball throughout its long history... Ican't agree more.:thumb:
February 14, 200719 yr This team is so inconsistent it isn't even funny, the 4 treys in the first put UK behind the 8ball, poor post defense and terrible decisions didn't help the cause. I'm dissappointed with the loss since they fought so hard to come back and at this point they don't have what it takes to beat a QUALITY team, I won't lose hope but I won't hope for anything deeper than the first week of the tournament right now. A question about the alley oop, if the refs can view after the fact can they also reverse the call and take points off the board or is it too late??? Clearly basket interference in the first half, not that it mattered.
February 14, 200719 yr First of all read post 314 by me regarding Lofton...Secondly throwing Fitch in there with Carruth and Rondo is probably one of the WORST examples you could have came up with. Yeah Fitch got in a little bit of trouble, however your post was talking about strong work ethic and well Fitch probably had one of the strongest work ethics to come through here in awhile. His freshman year he worked his way into the starting lineup by doing the little things by playing hard defense, and going in there and doing what many guards wont do and that is go in a get the tough rebounds. Then throughout his career he kept working until he finally became THE MAN on the team and was the leading scorer and probably the last clutch shooter we have had at Ky. So comparing him with Carruth and Rondo's work ethic is way off.... Fitch was told to run in practice one day and refused. Enough said.
February 14, 200719 yr Fitch was told to run in practice one day and refused. Enough said. No not enough said! Yeah I admitted he got in trouble a few times, but he also did work very hard, and why you want to argue that is beyond me...
February 15, 200719 yr I didnt think UK played all that great. UT deserved the win they were the better team.
February 15, 200719 yr I didnt think UK played all that great. UT deserved the win they were the better team. On offense they did, it was the defense they were terrible at...
February 15, 200719 yr Wow UK needs to work on thier three pointers. Um they shot the three pretty good against UT...

February 15, 200719 yr Not clear at all from the angle they showed on TV. I think it hit hand then back of rim and then in. Good call. JMO. It didn't matter, but I thought that the rule was that if the ball was in the cylinder then you could not interfere with the ball.
February 15, 200719 yr Why did Darin Horn back away from Lofton? Why did George Felton walk away? Why did by gawd the second coming Billy Donovan walk away even after he sent VCU's savior Anthony Grant (or is it Jason Capel, since he instilled the work ethic for the Rams) in the spring to evaluate? What about Huggins? What about the assassin Thad Matta walk away? It sounds as if they all were wrong.
February 15, 200719 yr It sounds as if they all were wrong. I have no idea how this argument is still going on. :thumb:
