February 15, 200719 yr On offense they did, it was the defense they were terrible at... I was there and didn't see really any set plays other than Crawford hitting some real tough shots. There wasn't any passing hardly at all, 19 turnovers isn't exactly tearing it up. Its sometimes hard for me to believe they scored in the 80's. UK had a hard time guarding their own shadows. Worst on the ball defense this year I believe. Hopefully Kentucky has a few days of good practicing and head to Bama and straighten things out. Really need this win on Saturday. Might be tough getting 20 regular season wins otherwise with Vandy and Florida left after Saturday on the road.
February 15, 200719 yr Threads after a UK loss are pure insanity. The same people making the same statements and pulling for Tubby to get the axe. Winning a national championship or making the final four every year would be nice, but it simply doesnt happen. All teams no matter how deep in tradition, how high they are in all time wins or what type of recruits they get go through dry spells. It happens and its not the end of the world. The expectations of some UK fans are simply unreasonable. I wish we had Lofton too, he's a great athelete and can shoot the ball from anywhere in the gym. We dont have Lofton, get over it, he plays for UT, once again its not the end of the world. Had Lofton been from any other state in the US, no one would mention his name in the same setence with UK. Tubby passed on Lofton for players who were more highly rated than Lofton at the time. I would love to have heard some of you talk in disgust over what a poor coach Tubby is had he passed up on Rondo or Bradley to get Lofton. He did what a coach is supposed to do, he recruited who was the better athlete at the time. He's a coach, not a fortune teller. How can you bad mouth a man who has as earlier stated won 77 percent of the games he's coached. He won a national championship with "Pitino's Team." I didnt see rick on the bench coaching while they were playing any of the games that season. As soon as Pitino left and Tubby stepped in, like it or not, it was then Tubby's team.I personally think this season and the upcoming seasons will be filled with great success for the Kentucky program. Those of you who think things are horrible right now, believe it or not, things will eventually get worse. The University of Kentucky will have teams that are far worse than the ones we've had in the last 10 years. It may be next year or 50 years from now, but it will happen. Thats the way life is. We can always ask more of a coach but in turn, I think sometimes we should ask more of ourselves as fans also. Be a good fan, support your team and coach through good and bad.
February 15, 200719 yr Lofton was the difference maker... Thats a shocker :thumb:Samething I was thinking.
February 16, 200719 yr  Yea... we lost by four in a hostle environment. Man SA you were so right Chalk it up as a lesson learned. If your gonna call someone out to deliberately make them look bad.. might wanna have your facts straight about the topic.
February 16, 200719 yr Chalk it up as a lesson learned. If your gonna call someone out to deliberately make them look bad.. might wanna have your facts straight about the topic. You mean like when you said it would take a miracle to beat UT with or without Lofton, then when it happened, making up some sort of excuse claiming that you thought Lofton would play even when asked if you still thought so without Lofton?
February 16, 200719 yr Author Chalk it up as a lesson learned. If your gonna call someone out to deliberately make them look bad.. might wanna have your facts straight about the topic. Lesson learned? You frustrate me so much SA, you act like "Oooo I told you". You said before the game at Rupp... and I can go back and get the actual quote if you want... that UK would need a miracle to win with or without Lofton. After the 20 point UK win I pointed that quote out. Now after UT wins at home by four points with Lofton you are all the sudden right? Makes a lot of sense man    Reminds me of the time you justified Marcus Vick's actions with where he was brought up. Good stuff as always
