HEY I HAVE AN IDEA LET'S Buy CHRIS LOFTON A HORSE FARM IN LEXINGTON, and get him a #5 jersey for both Basketball and Football. He would be a great reciever for us, and he could play in the slot, as for basketball. He would revitalize our program that has been subpar for so many years. I need to go back to college, so I can relive the PATINO ERA.

Well I have been critical of Tubby in the past but it hit me today that I actually owe him a great deal of gratitude.

There was a time in my life where everything stopped when UK played. I would schedule everything around the next UK game. I can remember being a nervous wreck during tournament time. A UK loss would cause me to sleep poorly. Not anymore.

I have my life back. Well I guess I now have a life. I am no longer a prisioner to UK basketball because like alot of other people I could care less. I have discovered other things in life like American Idol. 10 years ago I would have cheated myself out of season a pop culture phenominom but not now. Things have changed and for the longest time I thought it was for the worse but now I have seen the light.

If Mitch Barnhardt is reading please do me a favor and keep Tubby Smith at any cost. His presence has saved me thousand of dollars in tickets, parking, concessions, and UK basketball items.

So speaking on behalf of thousands of UK fans and fans all across the SEC, thank you Orlando Tubby Smith. Thank you for removing an unhealthy passion from our lives and for making it possible for every team in the SEC to enjoy the thrill of victory.

I am in total agreement. Great post.:thumb:

Glad to see you guys could break away from your lives long enough to post about something insignificant to you.

:creepy: :creepy: :creepy: :creepy: I knew this thread would turn the wrong way eventually.

One trick pony is UT. Lofton is their lifeblood.

I still trying to figure out their schemes. I was baffled by a few things Tubby threw out there tonight.

One, Perry Stevenson has to get 15 mpg. There is no excuse for Mark Coury being out there. Woo has brought nothing when he has been in there recently. He has feet for hands, and Florida made their run when he was in the other night and he was on the floor tonight when UT made their first half run.

Two, Bradley on fire 14 quick points in the second half, gets a tough break on foul number four about the 10 minute mark. He sits until 2 minutes. He is at the table whlie UK has the ball with 2:40 to go, down two. WHo knows what set they were trying to run? Zipper? Thumbs Down? Who knows. It was obvious, it was breaking down, call a TO, you have 2 left, get Bradley in the game, he maybe a turnover machine but he gives you another option on the floor that can score. Turnover.

Bottom line this junior class basketball IQ is next to nil. rondo didnt have it last year and this group doesnt have it.

They lack leadership. They also lack a point guard who can distribute and score from the perimeter.

What has become an issue to me, is the fact that Randolph Morris is continually allowed to give less than maximum effort time after time. That is on OTS.

People can scream and holler about Lofton, but Crawford took him to the woodshed in the second half.

UK's post defense was abysmal. Continually allowing UT to throw the ball overtop with no weakside help was frnakly annoying.

Frustrating.

UT got 27 points of UK turnovers.

6 out of the last 7 opponents UK has faced has shot the ball over 47%.

I still will pencil in UT for an opening round loss, this year.

One big difference Lofton is a WINNER and Crawford,as proven last year, is a QUITTER.

Funny how the non UK crowd does little to no bashing of the TEAM...

:sssh:

Lofton 6-14, 4-10 on three's.

Chism and Crews combined 14-21 from the field.

UT 27-4 on points off turnovers.

Paint scoring 46-30, advantage UT.

Lofton had a nice game, but the lack of UK getting any stops against a pair of undersized post players led to their doom.

Add this game to UCLA, Georgia, and Vandy, where the game is in the balance in the last two minutes and UK choked it away again.

Why was UK fronting mediocre post players?

And if they were going to front where was the backside help?

Great defensive strategy. Wonder who came up with that Rigot or Hanson?

Sad state of affairs in Lexington but many on here have a multitude of excuses.

BTW I was rooting hard for the Cats all the way.

I did save 2 hours by not watching. I don't feel like I missed a thing.

As far as being on the wagon. Enjoy riding it off the cliff or should I say have you enjoyed riding it off the cliff?

Insightful post.

Lofton is a winner because he scores a lot of points and his team has won a grand total of 1 NCAA tournament game during his tenure?

Crawford is probably the most improved Wildcat on this year's team and the teams he has been apart of have won 4 NCAA tournament games?

Insightful...go watch the Disney Channel.
