February 14, 200719 yr Why was UK fronting mediocre post players? And if they were going to front where was the backside help? Great defensive strategy. Wonder who came up with that Rigot or Hanson? Sad state of affairs in Lexington but many on here have a multitude of excuses. BTW I was rooting hard for the Cats all the way. A few times they got caught with guards trying to guard players off of switches. Weakside help, who knows. Effort from Morris has become quite an irritant.
February 14, 200719 yr Well I have been critical of Tubby in the past but it hit me today that I actually owe him a great deal of gratitude. There was a time in my life where everything stopped when UK played. I would schedule everything around the next UK game. I can remember being a nervous wreck during tournament time. A UK loss would cause me to sleep poorly. Not anymore. I have my life back. Well I guess I now have a life. I am no longer a prisioner to UK basketball because like alot of other people I could care less. I have discovered other things in life like American Idol. 10 years ago I would have cheated myself out of season a pop culture phenominom but not now. Things have changed and for the longest time I thought it was for the worse but now I have seen the light. If Mitch Barnhardt is reading please do me a favor and keep Tubby Smith at any cost. His presence has saved me thousand of dollars in tickets, parking, concessions, and UK basketball items. So speaking on behalf of thousands of UK fans and fans all across the SEC, thank you Orlando Tubby Smith. Thank you for removing an unhealthy passion from our lives and for making it possible for every team in the SEC to enjoy the thrill of victory. Get your life back...cheer for Louisville. Pitino has carried his successes there.

Crawford is probably the most improved Wildcat on this year's team and the teams he has been apart of have won 4 NCAA tournament games? Insightful...go watch the Disney Channel. Lofton has been a WINNER at every level LABS. In the classroom and on the court. I guess Mason County just ended up in two state finals and with a championship ring. I guess he had no part in UT finishing higher than UK last year in the SEC East. I would support Crawford over him after a guy quits and leaves and is allowed to come back and plays 20 minutes in his first game back. Keep drinking the Kool Aid as we pile up another 10 losses and fail to reach the Final Four once again. maybe someday you will wise up and learn from your EKY buddies who warned you years ago where this program was headed.

He has done me a great service by free up more of my time. Plus he has single handedly evened out the SEC. Which makes for an interesting conference tournament come March.
February 14, 200719 yr Too many unforced errors. End of story. Bradley can do a lot of good, and he can sometimes do a lot of bad. Meeks is still showing he is a freshman. The kid brings intensity and talent but he makes some awful decisions at times. This isn't a bash the refs comment but did anyone else really dislike the charging call on Bradley that gave him his fourth. I thought it was horrible. Then a Tennessee player takes one to the hole a minute or so later, runs over Meeks who I really felt was not moving and hits a layup for one and the basket. Still, Kentucky not stopping the three ball early and still not finding Randolph Morris even close to often enough is what beat this team. (Who cringed when they saw Morris on the ground holding his knee? I know I did)

UK and it's fan base should be grateful to Pitino for providing them with the best run in UK's modern history. Like it or not it is a fact. He brought them back from the ashes and left them at the top of the heap. He sure didn't take them from the top to the middle of the pack.

Smith inherited arguably the top program in the country in 97-98 and almost a decade later where are we? I think the guy is a great man but a poor recruiter, motivator, and in-game coach. Why wont Morris play hard? Why dont we have a legit four man? Why do we not have more than two offensive sets? OB plays? I hope we make a run to Final Four but can you guys see it happening?

He is a winner. Spectactular high school career. So far a spectacular career at the college level, where if it werent for a player defection at UT, he would have ended up where? Georgetown, KY? OTS gets his fair amount of criticism, but a whole bunch of colege coaches locally missed including Naismith down in Louisville. Give Crawford a break, he has improved greatly, and played pretty well tonight. Remember, we are all medicore. JB, let me ask you this. If UK were to fire Tubby, and you had no better a 50-50 chance to land Donovan, would you still pull the trigger on Tubby?
