Smith inherited arguably the top program in the country in 97-98 and almost a decade later where are we? I think the guy is a great man but a poor recruiter, motivator, and in-game coach. Why wont Morris play hard? Why dont we have a legit four man? Why do we not have more than two offensive sets? OB plays? I hope we make a run to Final Four but can you guys see it happening? OTS gets his fair amount of criticism, but a whole bunch of colege coaches locally missed including Naismith down in Louisville. Give Crawford a break, he has improved greatly, and played pretty well tonight. Remember, we are all medicore. JB, let me ask you this. If UK were to fire Tubby, and you had no better a 50-50 chance to land Donovan, would you still pull the trigger on Tubby? I think a change needs to be made or when will the trend stop? February 14, 200719 yr What does any of that have to do with what you quoted? You hate Tubby, we get it. We also got it the first couple of hundred times we read the same exact things you just said. I dont hate Tubby. He is good man but needs to move on.

By gosh UK should have signed Jermaine Brown, Walt Allen, Ross Neltner, and the Davenport kid. He offered Lofton, yes, then he saw him play over that summer and had his assistant call and pull the offer, then agains he came sniffing around and offered him a chance to walk-on. So he blew it twice.

What system did OTS employ to win his title and who instilled the work ethic in those players? OTS deserved that title he did a great job but you can not tell me there is not a difference in the work ethic of his players and RP's Uk players? Give me a break.
