Final 71-63 Gators advance. Tough to win when you are out rebounded 50-29. The Cats played hard on their 3rd game in 48 hours.

If the rest situations were reversed, I’d still pick Florida. So I’m certainly picking them with the advantage.

Cats not off to a good start 3 turnovers and trail 10-4 at the under 16 media timeout.

These early games interrupt my normally scheduled laziness.

The Cats needed to shoot it well from 3 to win and they were just 5-23 today and 17-67 for 25% for the tournament.

The Cats in 3 games vs. the Gators this year they never once had a lead in 120 minutes.

I'll give Kentucky this - they battle.  They don't really stop battling.  But this result has been all too frequent, that they fall behind, make it close,, but never have a real threat to win.

Correct. Even when it became interesting, did anyone think they were going to win?

It has been since 2019 that UK has advanced to the semi-finals of the SEC tournament. (2020 they would have been the #1 seed going into the SEC tournament but, COVID).

No, not even close.  Men vs. Boys today.

Well that 3 and turnover does it. On to selection Sunday!

One or two and done, then onto next year.

WOW, did not know that.

Todd Golden stated it verbatim in his postgame.

It's shocking to you, that the team that has came back multiple times or lost close games from behind, lost?

It is that they never led Florida once in three games.

Just a bad day for St. John’s, and one of those few good games for the Cats. Quite honestly it’s surprising that the Cats beat both St. John’s and Arkansas this year, as both are much better than our Cats unfortunately. However, it just shows in basketball anything can happen.

Quaintance.

He would make that big a difference for UK.

I agree he definitely would have helped some, especially on defense and rebounding. However, UK only had a record of 2 and 2 in the four games he did play in.

True. But he is the reason UK beat St. John's. That was the question being posed - how did UK beat St John's. Quaintance is the answer. That is how impactful he can be.

The team is too flawed to say any one player makes them a top ten team but on a given night, they could beat a Florida if Quaintance were healthy and playing starter minutes.
