Seems as if there are a lot of people creating false rumors about this job and who is interested.

The best young assistant in the 12th Region is Noah Young from Somerset.  Not sure he wants a head coaching job, but he has taken the lead on most of the scouting for Somerset this season and the resu

I was not forced out. I weighed it out over a 4 month period and based on the information I had, I thought it was best for the program.  But, in posting this…. I know you do that in support of me

I can tell you without a doubt that Sparrow is interested and applied.

I can tell you for a FACT  that Sparrow has not applied.   Is NOT interested in that job.   And for a FACT Jason Mays was contacted and they have had a meeting.

I can't believe they're already holding interviews, when was Mays interviewed?

Mays doesn't have ties to any school so he would definitely be available for an interview.

Definitely not true.

Didn't realize everyone Garrard was graduating. If McCray was leaving, you'd think now would be the time.

Ryan Noe is all they have back.  I think you can build around Noe.  He was really solid for a Freshman this year.  I think their young crew is decent, but it’ll be a hard climb back in the 45th.

Elisha Justice makes sense to me, where he played for Coach Booher if he’s ready for something different.

Their freshman group is really solid, dominated their conference in middle school basketball, it will bring the most talent across all sports that Garrard County has seen in quite some time in my opinion, football and basketball especially. I’d definitely stay put. Atleast for another 4 years LOL.

Their middle school conference is not with most of the regional teams.  I watched them a few times in Freshman ball and JV.  They’re solid, but outside of Noe I wouldn’t say anyone stood out as a game changer IMO.  They need to get back in the Salt River Middle School Conference.

Interesting, somebody has to be wrong.

I can tell you for a FACT that the person contacting Mr. Mays will have no say on who will be hired.

Who does the contacting, and who does the final hire?

Applications will be accepted until spring break.

I don't see Justice leaving Pikeville for Booher, who has to be close to retirement.

Easy solution is 2025 12th region COY McRay from Garrard. Alumni, him and his family are well respected within the community, has head coaching experience, isn't leaving in 3 years for another job, and has learned from Pitino and Greg Mason. I have no clue if he's interested, but that's who I'm calling. He's done a pretty good job with Garrard since he took over in a tough district. Definitely made some things interesting this year. I just don't know if Mercer can get the "big name" like Mays with their athletics program in shambles right now.

This is what I was referring to and I am not wrong on this.
