The schedule is the same as last year basically. Going to be tough. I know all the QBs had quit. The best athlete coming off knee injury and missing last season. He has a tough road ahead of him in rebuilding.

Yeast made in the 90,000s. And that’s public knowledge. Teachers actually went and looked it up. As it’s public record. So I’m sure it’s up there.

McCombs and Dunn is a very new rumor. The big one is Sutton that just left Mercer. Took Frankfort High. Was on staff last year. I highly doubt the Dunn McCombs rumors is true but crazier things have happened.

Hearing crazy stuff now. Just a typical crap show with this AD. I think the community and players feel the same about Craig. But leave it up to the AD to screw this one up. But maybe it’s all rumors.

Hearing it’s Craig….. best scenario. Those kids have been beaten down. It’s going to take time to recover and the schedule does not help at all. Yeast was a stupid scheduler. I’d say the community will like that hire. And now basketball and football coaches played there and promote playing multiple sports. Hope the community gets behind them. (If what I’m hearing is true).

I say They May go interim route with Craig. Harris has zero interest. They Still may not fill a Varsity Team. At this point not a lot of options. They do have some others that would be excellent hires. Drew Davis has been under Brandon Smith for a few years learning, Not sure he would be interested. At this point, I’m not sure it’s as much about who’s the coach. But can they get kids back out. With 18 kids need several to come back out. I know the young kids/parents don’t want their kids at the varsity level not ready. Do you go JV only a year? Mercer hasn’t had. JV team in 3 years. It’s a mess.

That’s the concerns at the moment by all. And with the schedule and how injuries go will they complete the season. There have been very few transfers. Most are walking the halls waiting for Yeast to leave. Mercer would be best letting him go now, hiring an interim, and they would be able to have a good 40 to 50 kids back on the team. It’s not just players quitting either, look at the turnover in the staff. Something like four or five coaches left this season. The majority of the assistants are family related to either the head coach or the athletic Director.

Heard at church Austin Sparrow was called. He is remaining at the college level. looking into bigger opportunities at the college level.

There are 11 applicants for the job. That is straight from the AD himself. I could tell you 7 of them. Lots of young guys.

Sparrow is not applying, did not apply, and will not apply. This came directly from his family and him. He is on his way to Iowa with the Tigers. And will be starting up his workouts with his academy and coaching AAU for Griffin Elite. And will remain with CU an pursuing college opportunities at a bigger level. He has received numerous phone calls for high school opportunities and loves what he is doing now.

I can tell you for a FACT that Sparrow has not applied. Is NOT interested in that job. And for a FACT Jason Mays was contacted and they have had a meeting.

Was just informed by a close friend that LCA has contacted Sparrow as well.

Jason Mays has interviewed and told them he wanted the LCA job first. Then the Mercer job. Heard Elijah Justice is interested. No word on McCray or Sparrow. My guess is they see what’s going on being alumni and have no interest. Sparrow will land somewhere bigger at the college level. Also was told by someone that The AD a the football coach have told everyone they are leaving after this next season. This was told to them by both the AD and Yeast. AD is retiring, and Yeast has made his 92,000 plus to destroy another program it’s time he moves on I suppose.
