Yeah, I know that, but I just don't think Henry Clay matches up at all with Bryan Station.  We'll see.

Evangel vs WEB DuBois in the opening round of the 24th should be a great game.

Both teams playing well 19-9, 20-9 and it was a one point game during the season.

Winner has a shot to get to Regional final as in same District as Region favorite JTown.

Webster County vs. Union County in the opening round of the 6th district tournament.  These teams have played 3 times this season.  The first matchup was in the 2A tournament and didn't count toward district play.  Webster County won the first matchup on the road 61-47.  Union County won the second matchup 77-68 in overtime at home.  Webster County won the third matchup 45-43 at home.  

 

These two teams couldn't be any more evenly matched. Webster may have the slight advantage because they are hosting the 6th District Tournament and have the more seasoned, experienced postseason coach.  Union County, however, is the more athletic team overall and has 3 starters who played heavy minutes on a team that reached the region semifinals last season. 

Greenwood vs South Warren tonight in the 14th… 2/3 game. Actually, W Central vs BG will hopefully be a good 1/4. Both of these matchups were splits during the regular season.

Augusta vs. Mason County. The two teams barely have 10 wins between them but both games have been tight this year. Mason County has won by 8 and 2. Fun fact, Augusta has only beaten Mason County four times ever but, three of those have come in the 39th district tournament.

Beechwood (21-8) at Holy Cross (20-8) tomorrow night at 7:30 pm at Holy Cross.

I like Coach Brown, but it's hard to go against Coach Ligon.

Just maybe the best game was played on 2/23/26 in the 31st district at Gallatin County.  This would be the game between Eminence and Carroll County, with Eminence winning 64/63.  Carroll was on the line for two free throws with 3.1 on the clock, hits the first, t/o by Eminence, misses the second, game over.

Could be some good ones in the 1st region tonight:

St. Mary vs. Paducah Tilghman, Paducah has won both but I think this one will be a good one.

Mayfield and Ballard, split district games, Mayfield won an All A game

Murray and Calloway, Murray has won all three but the last two game down to the end. 

 

2nd Region:

Webster and Union, split during the district games and Webster won an 2A game.

Amazing game for a district semi, I expect the senior-laden Indians to play with great desperation.  With that said, Beechwood is terrific fundamentally and won't beat themselves, so HC will have to execute and earn it.
