WHY??

Featured Replies

When you are shooting as awful as KY did tonight and they have absolutly no answer for Morris then why do you keep jacking up 3's each time down the floor?

They didn't really force any threes. They were good shots, they just didn't fall. Every team has a bad shooting night, UK happened to have it happen against the wrong opponent.

It's instinct...When you're down, your first thought is to shoot a three, which puts you closer to the lead...Very few times does a team think to get it down low and score inside...

You have to remember that one reason so many 3s were open was because of the defense inside on Morris. Add the fact that Morris doesn't work nearly hard enough to actually get open and that could be an answer to your question.

Yeah, if you don't shoot you don't have a shot at winning. Live and die by the 3

Dragon was saying the same thing and its a valid point. But if 1-2 of those 3's dropped down the stretch, we probably won this game. Plus UF was starting to double Morris. Our only production.

It is not all Morris's fault; they miss him a lot also; I agree he should not pout and continue to work, but they should get it to him twice as much as they do. It would create even more open looks for them.

Thank you. I thought it was just me that notices that. Also, if they don't go to him right away, he seems to stop trying. I don't think Morris is near ready for the next level.

Yeah, me and SA were going back and forth about this all game long in the update thread. If 1 or 2 threes go, then it's all good.

But I'd liken it to this metaphor (off the top of my head, please hold the criticism for the masterful writing): If someone presented you with two apples, and told you the one on the right would give you an electroshock every time you touched it, but if you actually managed to pick it up and take a bite that it would taste better than the one on the left, how many straight times would you have to get shocked before you'd realize you should just take the one on the left?

I agree. Most were good shots that just didn't fall.

Then why not pull him out higher and open up lanes for high %. I'm all about living and dying by the three if you have Lofton. WE DON'T!!! They could have also put another big man in if Morris was getting double teamed or took the ball to the other side of the floor and driven to the basket. I'll play you 5 on 4 all day long going to the basket. Especially when I'm shooting about 10% from 3 pt land!
