It has nothing to do with Tubby's approval rating. It's more of a running joke about the number of unreasonable fans on either side of the aisle. It started a few years ago when one of the papers did a poll on UK's biggest rival. 18% voted Duke and a running joke on BGP was born...

Good times...

5 losses in a row to Florida is valid.

How someone can blame this loss on Coach Smith is beyond me...Our shooters simply werent shooters last night. Whats Coach Smith supposed to do about that??

OK, we have another player. What part of Billy D owning Tubby is not Tubby's fault?

You talked about everything except what part of Billy D owning Tubby is not Tubby's fault, which was my question.

How long has Billy D been at Florida now? What his is career record against Tubby? How many SEC Championships and SEC Tournaments has he won while at Florida? Yes Billy D has won the last five, but to say that Billy D owns Tubby is well, not factual at all.

You realize that Coach Smith has a winning record against Billy D right?

I'm strictly posting about the game last night...

Yes, I realize our program was at the top, back in the day...

...and I see the problem with the big picture.

Bitter and very disappointing homecourt loss...:walk:

Just got in not too long ago. Not surprised that the post count is this high already. The fans over on the other boards are flipping out, as usual. If anyone needs a good laugh, head over that way.

Back to the game. Florida was ripe for the picking last night. Anytime you get their Bigs in foul trouble, you have to take advantage and UK did in the second half. Morriss should have gotten about another ten touches, as they had no answer for him inside, but part of that is his fault not working to get open every time down the court. Both Bradley and Crawford struggled mightily with their jump shots, but they got good looks and continued to fire, which is what good shooters do. I actually liked how Tubby brought Woo and Morriss in at the same time, and think he should have done it earlier. They could have played the high-low game all day long with Florida and been very successful. Woo can hit that 15 foot jumpshot consistently enough that Florida would have had to come out on him, giving Morriss a 1 on 1 matchup in this post. I expect to see more of that in Gainesville. Wasn't impressed by Noah at all, gets to involved with the crowd and lets it affect his play. Horford was not a factor either. I think Brewer is the best player on the Florida team, and will do extremely well in the Pros because of how well he can create his own shot. UK has the grueling part of their schedule coming up, so they can not dwell on this loss. Tubby had a great gameplan last night, but it was contingent on his shooters hitting shots, and they did not. Cats will rebound and be fine IMO and I continually see them improving every game.

On another note, the loss did not affect the nightlife whatsoever in Lexington this past weekend. Always a great party town. :thumb:

Nice play there at the end of the game there, Tubby.

You truly are a genious on the hardwood.

UK played great D and it was a great atmosphere but if you think Florida got UK's best SHOT you're kidding yourself.

Read my post, I said UK didnt play that well. I said UK didnt get Floridas best...

Um what? That is a GOOD look for having to have a three.
