I disagree. The crowd should be like that every game, regardless of the opponent. It's just another example of UK fans being spoiled that they don't act that way every game.

You and Svfan4life do realize that I HAVE BEEN THE BIGGEST guy arguing that for weeks now in all the threads concerning Rupp. I have said many of times that Rupp is usually a dead place and not that intimidating anymore..But you can't expect a crowd to be like that for every game like last night. Every crowd gets up even more than normal for one of the top teams in the nation. What I am saying is if the crowd could even be as half as excited as last nights crowd, then it would be so much better than it usually is, and would make it a very intimidating place again....

It's human nature to be more into the game and more excited when a better team is in town. It happens all over the country. I do agree that the Rupp crowd needs to be more consistent, but there's no way you can expect them to be like they were last night every game.

What about Duke and Florida or UNC? They always seem to have really good crowds for all their games. Not saying they always do bt I just thought it seemed like they usually did.

Exactly. And that's why I've said that Rupp isn't intimidating anymore. If they'd have that blue & white theme every game then it'd be awesome and everyone would be afraid to come and play inside Rupp. Look what it did to Florida, I mean we lost by 3 at Rupp when it was going crazy, we almost pulled off a crazy win. Florida got nervous. If we could do that against everyone then we'd see a different UK team. I think it'd help UK if the crowd was more into it because it'd show the players, and get them pumped up. ( I know they should be pumped up anyway, but I don't see it at the beginning of games).

I don't think teams are afraid at Rupp because of the way the fans dress. I believe they are more concerned with how well the Kentucky teams are playing and winning.

I didn't mean only how they dress, but if the crowd is consistently into the game and excited then teams will get nervous. It's intimidating to other teams.

Duke crowd is more excited when UNC comes to town, its just natural. The gap between UK's 'big' games and 'small' games is the problem with our fans.

Thats not what were arguing about, were saying that it cant be like last nights game every game, because we dont play the #1 team every game. Even at Duke their crowd gets even more louder and crazier when they say UNC at home...Me and OR do agree that Rupp has to be more of imtimidating place and the fans needs to be more into it, and as I said I been the #1 arguer of that for weeks now. We are just pointing out that there is no way it can be like last nights game every game, just because we dont play the #1 team every game...

It's hard to get up against Miss Valley St. and Santa Clara. But I realize you have to play a few of those games every year.

I agree, but Dukes crowd is still consistently loud, maybe not as loud like their playing UNC but still a lo louder than UK. I know UK fans will never be into every game like they were last night. But I enjoyed last night's theme and they should keep that up, at least it's something. they could have the crowd yell the letters they are wearing. And with the SEC being the way it is a lot of games are big games for UK.

Trust me I agree, Rupp needs to be alot louder for every game than they are right now. I know last nights game atmosphere wise wast the funnest game I ever been to, even though in the end we lost. That is why I really think we need more students by the court, because the older folk aren't going to do that every game. Having more students by the court, would help make it alot louder of a place for even the games that are not as big as this...

I thought I saw some Florida fans sitting in the student section.

I agree with this.

Fitch was a really good shooter for us. His freshman year he really didn't shoot that well, and was really just in for defense and rebounding. But every year he got alot better, and was one of the best clutch shooters we had recently. Except for the last shot of his career against UAB...

I agree with the second part... BUT...you're wrong about the first part.

Freshman - 40.8

Sophomore - 34.5

Junior - 41.5

Senior - 40.1

Wow, I thought I remembered him shooting alot better than that his sophomore year so thanks for pointing that out. However I still think he has been the best pure shooter that UK has had recently, and clutch at that....

^ I definately think he was clutch...I remember being shocked when that shot from the wing bounced off.
