It's Seneca Driver's to lose!

Is he going to play TE in 2026? Tough position to win Mr. Football. I think NCC TE Frank Jacobs won it a long time ago. Any other TE winner?

Give me Seneca Driver. Unreal force on O and D. Also punts. Nothing the young man can’t do.

Driver is as well which I think plays in his favor for the race. 67 tackles, 5 INTs with 2 returned for TDs, 10 TFLs, and 3 sacks. All playing LB for the first time.

Michael Mayer won in 2019.

Michael Mayer was an animal on both sides of the ball.

That definitely helps Driver's chances.

Fryman’s offensive play wasn’t even utilized compared to any other player considered in this discussion.

Hopefully he’s given a bigger opportunity todo more in 2026.  His ceiling is very high.

More important to the Fort Mitchell community, he’s even better person than he is a football player, baseball player or a track athlete.

Didn’t he break almost every record at Beechwood for a season and career? How was he under utilized?

More wildcat, more jet sweeps and more bubble screens. He is going to be double teamed all year at WR, like he was in the playoffs. There were plays against Owensboro Catholic that he was doubled and a third DB shaded his way to protect in cut routes. Fryman still caught 9 passes for 164 yards. That said, it will be even more difficult this season to throw him the ball more at WR downfield.

He, like other offensive players played only half of a game more than half the season.  Whether it was a pass or out of Wildcat touched the ball 6 to 7 times (catches or run) PER game.

The thing that people miss is Fryman's best stat games are the games against the best teams on the schedule  - O Cath, CCH, 6A Campbell Co., 6A Simon Kenton 5A Dixie. Fryman's best stat game was the semi final loss to Owensboro Catholic when he was double teamed most of the game. People think those district blowout games are for padding stats, but they are usually terrible for stats. Short fields make for low yardage. That happens so often. There were multiple games where Beechwood rarely had to go more than 50 yards for a score against their 2A opponents. Then you also get one play possessions that go for a TD, and Beechwood has other players like Pabst who will score from anywhere on the field if they get the first touch.

Think about this. Is the 7 2A district and playoff games, excluding top notch opponent O Cath, Fryman had 564 receiving yards, 80.6 YPG. In the 6 non-district games against almost all higher class schools plus O Cath, Fryman had 756 yards, 126 YPG. He had 50% more yards per game when he faced the best teams on the schedule.

Demarcus Ganaway Jr. might be in the hunt. His numbers will increase with the stable of receivers O returns and the loss of Hampton at RB. Wouldn’t surprise me if his numbers are better than Carothers from OC

Seneca Driver

The end.

(and, that's nothing against any of the others mentioned, but he's just that good. What he does on both sides of the ball? The freak of nature he is physically? His speed to go with it? The P4 player he will be? Stays healthy the next few years and we are looking at a future 1st round draft pick.)

I'll look for tape on Driver. You look for tape on Fryman. Then let's share. Everything you say here about Driver I would say about Fryman - although I see Fryman in MLB, not the NFL.

Catholic throws the ball every play for this reason. I don't really care anymore we had a kid get it last year and we won a title. I just want another title. I doubt Demarcus Jr. gets more yards then Carothers from Catholic. They literally throw it every play. Very rarely now do you see a 1000 yard rusher at Catholic with all the passing yards. It's just throw throw throw. Looking forward to our game again with them at Steele Stadium. Rash was wild that night.

No comparison. Driver dominating in the toughest division in Kentucky football vs Class Single A and a running clock each week. No comparison.

Looking at stats Lorenzen looks more impressive over Driver because he can play QB/TE and LB also will be a 4 year srarter. But Fryman stats are off the charts he is Mr Football as long as he stays healthy his Senior year and will be a 4 year starter. Driver is a great athlete no knock on him.
