Never in my 35 years of actually watching football would I say “Ole Miss vs Indiana will be an awesome national championship matchup”. But that’s who I’m picking to advance.

Will be interesting to see ratings going forward.  Everyone claims to want to see new things, now that they have them, will they watch?

I am watching for sure no matter the teams.

From DraftKings:

31.5% of all college football players are in the transfer portal

The portal has been open for less than 48 hours already ?

I believe it was 25% in the portal last year, so the 31.5% is certainly an increase.  I also read that approximately 40% of the players who enter the portal will not sign with another D1 school.  Many are pushed out the door by incoming freshmen and other portal signees.

Old days in football you had recruiting classes for the big boys of 25-30.  Probably only 1/2 of those ever saw significant roles.  Others were role players or possibly transferred to smaller schools seeking playing time.

Now coaches who see kids as "bust" are showing them the door via the transfer portal...

Simple solution, make players start signing 1-3 year contracts and treating it like the professional sports model it is.

I would love to see Ole Miss win this thing and stick it to Kiffin.

That's a matchup where the majority of college football fans are happy regardless of who wins. The stories surrounding both teams getting there would be great.

It's IU's to lose at this point, and I don't see that happening.
