Congratulations to the Los Angeles Dodgers the 2025 champs. The Dodgers come from behind in dramatic fashion with a game tying homer in the top of the 9th and a go-ahead homer in the top of the 11th to win 5-4. They had to come back from being down 3-2 and win the last two on the road to be the first repeat champs since the Yankees from 1998-2000 and the first national league team to repeat since the "Big Red Machine" in 1975 and 1976.

Yamamoto is the MVP hands down! That was unreal!

Probably.  I'd give it to Will Smith.   Catching every inning of the series and 2 game winning HRs.   That's epic.

Most baseball I have watched since the 1990 World Series. 

 

Fans like myself may be overblowing it, but I think with the Dodger results of these past two years... baseball in 2027 is in real danger.  The CBA is up after next season, and there are some really tough conversations on the way.

Oddly enough, I feel really happy for Blake Snell.   Didn’t have his best stuff all series, but came in and held the Jays at bay during crunch time.

To clarify, these are not the same Will Smith, just a person named Will Smith has won the WS six straight years. Mookie Betts has the most rings in the MLB (4).

What was awesome about last night was the clutch play after clutch play being made in the later innings. I often think these extra-inning / multiple overtime games get over blown as far as being “great,” when it is just two teams playing poor. Or in the case of the 18 inning game, the best player being intentionally walked multiple times depriving us of great moments.

But last night was different.

What a game ! They really need to do away with starting the tenth inning with a runner on second. Extra innings makes baseball great.
