Where did Dale Mueller coach for nine years before getting the Highlands job?

Gave up a job as an engineer (I believe he was a mechanical engineer) to become an asst coach at Newport (talk about taking a pay cut to do what you enjoy doing). Stayed there a couple of years learning under Mike Murphy, his former coach at Highlands. Became the head coach of Withrow in Cinti. Turned the program around while he was there, actually going 10-0 one year. Left there to become the head coach at Sycamore, also in Cinti. Wasn't there too long when the Highlands job came open due to Duffy's departure.

Thanks. He's closing in on 200 career wins and I was trying to figure out if they were all Kentucky or if some were in Ohio.

How many Division 1 players did Coach Mueller say was on his team this Season? I thought I read that he had six, but I couldn't remember?

Not that I know of............

I think he is pretty smart saying he has 5 or 6 Division I players at the start of the season. A coach once told me it is a good thing when people are talking about you. It's when they stop talking about you is when you have to worry. Dale always does a great job promoting his football team year in and year out. Why do you think he gets invited to big prime time games!!!!!:ylsuper:

He definitely is the best Salesman/Head coach in the state. Dale has to always remember though that he has hundreds of so called "Sales Managers" sitting in their easy chairs around Ft. Thomas who are constantly monitoring his numbers and reminding him to Always Be Closing !!!! or winning that is.

Want a reason why HHS stays on top?....read this article! Ryan Ball exemplifies the true Bluebird Pride. Team first! I know he has the respect of EVERYONE associated with the Bluebird program. And don't let me forget Luke Stein's sacrifice, either. Both these guys are great players and young men of character!

Here's a shocking development!

For the first time in recorded memory, Dale DID NOT say this was the most talented, and/or athletic team that he's ever had!

In fact, in his annual interview on ICN6, he said it would be irresponsible to suggest how good this team could be -- especially after a 7-5 season. He suggested that it was the kind of record that's just not acceptable for HHS.

It was something of a refreshing change; but at the same time, a little upsetting. I mean, how can we think of starting the season without NKY's version of "Play Ball!"
