Boyle County's operating budget is 27 million.

JCPS (Louisville) is in financial trouble according to some stories that have came out. Bankruptcy was even thrown out there ….. Will be interesting on how they will be able to afford  a shot clock at each of their schools. 
I have no idea how money works so it could be a moot point.

Shot clock will expose a lot of coaches and players.

I think they will be able to find enough money to supply those, and very easily at that.

My opinion on this hasn't changed. It's good for the game. Watching teams sit on the ball for two or three minutes at a time is boring basketball. Upsets can and will still happen. 

The cost issue is valid and will have to be addressed in a lot of places. 

As for who is going to operate the shot clock... I've never been at a high school basketball game when a varsity team had only one coach on the sideline. In fact, there are usually 3-5. Make one of the coaches run the shot clock if you can't find reliable volunteers from the community. 

IMO, a lot of the opposition to the shot clock is just a "we've always done it this way" mentality. Time to move on. 

I'm also not buying the "bad basketball" argument. 

This will force coaches and teams to be more efficient with their possessions. Coaches will have to coach, players will have to adapt. 

There's already bad basketball being played. A shot clock, in the long run, will improve the quality of basketball.
