With the loss of Combs at Cooper and the addition Cov Cath has added the gap between Cov Cath and everyone else just got a lot wider. Outside of Cov Cath I still think the rest of the 9th is down across the board. Going to be a lot of competitive games come winter time. Go ahead and crown Cov Cath 9th region champs already in June.

Is James Turner also gone from Newport? Just saw his IG post in an OTE uniform down there.

Last I heard which has been a couple weeks, was that he was trying his hardest to be apart of it but wasnt getting the greatest feed back. Could be possible he is getting some run with RWE's AAU team as a trial. He also plays with Wildcat Select which has a bunch of OTE/RWE players. I figured if he was going to be at OTE he would have been there last year but there is something that's been holding it up. I think his development has kind of flat lined over the past couple years. Wouldn't be surprised is Starks makes some type of move within the next few months.

2027-Guard- Holden Smith helps to lead Ryle to a 4-0 finish at the @kabcshootout in Lexington (combined record, 17-3 on the summer). Holden scored: 17, 15, 25, & 17 in the games.

They got some dudes ready for their time to shine. Great freshman class coming in and they always have someone come in out of no where. I don't think they have anything to worry about. 

Griffin Starks now gone at Newport…..headed to Prep School in Florida.  Newport has been wiped out.  Is Highlands, with all starters returning the only threat to CCH this year?  Saw the Colones twice in Summer ball and of course there is Harney and All-World McGillis, but Stava is going to be a major problem as He is the next in a long line of defensive stoppers that will shut everyone down.  And His ball skills and penetration skills have blown up, but He was also taking advantage of the fact that Harney and McGillis draw all the defensive attention and He just feasted offensively in both games because teams are sleeping on that stud.  The new kid, Myrick I think, can shoot the lights out wow!!!  And Cash Meyers, a Sophomore, and football stud, with His ball handling, penetration, confidence, speed and football body & toughness at 6’3 and still growing will be a matchup nightmare for the next 3 years.

Seemed to have a window there for a minute but with all the talent exiting the program over the past year it sure looks like it.
