Sounds like Dr. Leon Ellison is out at Eastern after one year as the Eagles' head coach. Not sure if he stepped down or was not renewed by the school.

Eastern started out 5-1 in their first 5 games, and then steadly slid to a final season record of 13-15, having their season ended with 20-point loss to Christian Academy Louisville in round one of the 28th District Tournament.

I’ve heard Rajon Rondo’s name mentioned here. Anybody else heard that? Or is that just wishful thinking??

Have also heard Rondo's name mentioned and from some very good sources. Makes me think it could be real but like anything else we shall wait and see what actually transpires.

Pretty sure his son got a little run as an 8th grader at North Oldham.

7th Grader.

I have heard Rondo is in the mix at Eastern.

It’s where he played before going off to Oak Hill.

That would be a very interesting hire for the 7th region.

I have heard Rajon Rondo, if he decides he doesn't want it I have heard Michael Baffours name connected to this position.

Who is Michael Baffours?  Background?

Baffour was a walk-on for U of L during the 2012-13 season. He is currently the head coach at North Hardin, where he has been the past 2 seasons and has had good success there, including a run this season to the regional finals. He has been the Coach of the Year for the 5th region both seasons that he has been at North.

With all of Rondo's issues, Eastern is playing with fire if this is who they decide to hire. Baffour is a better and more proven selection.

I played for a former UK player whose only positive attribute was that he’d played at UK.  He was a complete disaster and should have been fired midway through the season.  I would agree that someone with a proven record would be better.
