I can see Seneca Driver not playing his senior year and enrolling early like Quisenberry did this year.

I fully expect that. To be honest, I won’t be shocked if he chooses not to play next year.

End of the road for Webb?  I will add they won district last year and runner up the other two years in arguably the toughest district in the 12th. Also just 5 seasons from a state tournament Elite 8. Most seasons not getting most of his kids till December. Tough job. Don’t know who does better in the situation.

It is tough when you are at a premier football school and you have to wait to get your upper tier athletes.  Ed McKinney always had to battle with that at Danville.  Always thought he did an excellent job considering those circumstances.

I think it's is a fair assessment this is probably the 8 best teams (minus Boyle Co. and McCreary Central).  Should be a dandy championship night, and regional tournament next week.

Yes, I think it has been thought by many for a while that the 8 would come from those ten teams. Any thing other would have been a major upset.

Yes he did. You also probably hit the nail on the head with “upper tier athletes”. Most are athletes and maybe not the most skilled, refined basketball players because they aren’t getting reps that a lot of other kids and teams are. There are exceptions to that of course.

Got a chance to watch the 45th District games last night. Danville played DCA well, especially in the first half. The DCA defense wore on them as they continuously pressure the ball.

Lincoln and Boyle was a classic as always. The Patriots played excellent defense. They seemed to challenge and contest every shot Boyle took. Nothing came easy. Boyle made a nice run in the 4th with their pressure defense.

The championship game will be interesting, DCA is the new team on top of the district and Lincoln County has seemingly controlled it for the past decade. Two excellent defensive teams and two teams that will be a tough out next week in the region tournament.

This is why I think Jeff Jackson is the best coach in the region, year in and year out. Lincoln always takes away your best thing and then never gives an inch on anything else. Even when he doesn't have superior talent, they are always a contender because of the game planning and execution.

There appears to be a lot of social media drama around the Wayne program right now with two different events. Imagine that. Hopefully the boys can push all of the extra stuff out of their heads and we can have a great championship game in the 48th tonight.

The amount of stuff these kids deal with in "that world" is unbelievable.  Glad I played in a different era!

That was unbelievable.  I’m sure there’s a back story to this.

Barstool Accounts on social media.  They started turning really bad in Late Jan/Early Feb.  Luckily, they have cooled off some.  Unfortunately, sports can bring out the worst in people too!

So that happened at the end of the Wayne County vs. ? game?

Also, looks like the police were right there to handle it, what an idiot on top of being a piece of trash.
