One constant in the 2 games they've played so far this year was that both teams will shoot a lot of threes.  Lincoln lit it up in the 2nd game but not the 1st one.  If either team is really hot from the outside it will probably determine the outcome.  The other factor was that Boyle had a lot more free throw attempts but didn't shoot very well.  9/20 the first game and 8/17 the second.  It looks like a toss up to me.

Somerset came back from a 14 point deficit and survived a 3 point attempt at the buzzer to get by Rockcastle County 45-43.  They'll play Pulaski in the district finals. 

Lincoln over Boyle 50-46.  Lincoln had a 13 point lead and Boyle came back to tie in the 4th quarter.

Boyle has had a lot of talent to finish the last 3 years 44-41 with no wins in the regional tournament.

They will be terrible next year without Brown, Smith and Guest.

End of the road for Webb?  I will add they won district last year and runner up the other two years in arguably the toughest district in the 12th. Also just 5 seasons from a state tournament Elite 8. Most seasons not getting most of his kids till December. Tough job. Don’t know who does better in the situation.

Definitley. The overall record each of those three years is worse than the lack of postseason success in my opinion. Things happen in one and done situations but the performance over the course of a season (or three) doesn’t lie. Given their talent levels and schedules they’ve played, not good.

Also, at least at this point, it doesn’t appear they’ll have any football transfers next year that’ll help the basketball team. That hasn’t been the case for the last several years and that’s going to really, really hurt.

It’s going to be a struggle next year, for sure. Will be the first year in the last four where I don’t feel like they are heading into the season with the talent to at least compete for the regional title. As it stands, it’ll be a stretch to be in the top half of region.

I can see Seneca Driver not playing his senior year and enrolling early like Quisenberry did this year.
