10th Region: Week 11

Featured Replies

As we approach the thrilling conclusion of the season, excitement is in the air! The action in the 10th has been just as captivating as ever. GRC faced off against Great Crossing, suffering only their fourth loss of the year. However, it was a valuable opportunity to measure their performance against some of the state's finest teams.

Meanwhile, Campbell County experienced a tough defeat at the hands of Ryle, but they bounced back with a solid victory over Nicholas County on Valentine's Day, proving their resilience. On a high note, Montgomery is on fire, celebrating an impressive five-game winning streak now that they are back at full strength.

With the final games of the season approaching, every moment counts—let's see how these teams continue to rise to the challenge!

Any clue how the opening rounds of the district tournaments are lining up for who makes the 10th region tournament?

38th: 1 Harrison County vs 4 Robertson County, 2 Nicholas County vs 3 Pendleton County

39th: 1 Augusta vs 4 St. Patrick, 2 Mason County vs 3 Bracken County

40th: 1 George Rogers Clark vs 4 Paris, 2 Montgomery County vs 3 Bourbon County

Hosts: Scott, Harrison County, Mason County, Paris.

Ouch GRC and Montgomery County battling it out in the 40th is a tough one.

I think Harrison County should be higher.  They best Nicholas County, Pendleton County, and Bourbon County in the last month.

They have definitely played better later in the season. You can't say enough about how well they have been "coached up" compared to where they started.

Coach Case is my coach of the year. He’s done a great job.

He has to be in the conversation.

Could/Should play 4 times this year.  The last at Montgomery County for the 10th region title.

Breds lost a TON of talent and nobody expected anything from them this year.  Case is the pick.

Started 4-11, just as expected.  Then responded with the current 8-1 run with the only loss in the difficult road game in Augusta.  Should tell us a lot when they host the finally healthy Royals tonight.

I’d say Jason Hinson should have some coach of the year votes thrown his way.  After losing 10th POY Kylan Hinson, Conner Snapp and Devonte Jefferson from the 10th region All A championship team that won 20 games, they’ve racked up 17 wins and earned the #1 seed in the first year the 39th district seeded.

Mason County 59 Harrison County 50.  Maybe the flu is a thing of the past.   Making a case to move up a couple of spots.

I think strength of schedule plays a part in those 17 wins.  They also gained two key players in the off-season.  If Augusta can win district then he should be considered.

Wins:

St. Patrick (3x)
Bracken County (2x)
Robertson County (2x)
Nicholas County
Mason County
Harrison County
Carroll County
Boone County
Bellevue
Villa Madonna
Bishop Brossart
Ludlow
Holmes

Losses:

Mason County
Pendleton County
Nicholas County
Beechwood
Bourbon County
Owen County
Bishop Brossart (All A)
Ryle
Calvary Christian
